thank you guys.... it means a lot ... i don't really know where i am right now.... i'm confused... we try to spend as much time together as we can... of course, we will still stay in touch after she leaves...but the distance builds a wall... it's not gonna be the same and i have to get used to it... it's hard....
i've had (still have) very close friends... in PL and here.... but my friendship with her survived a lot... lots of ups and downs... she is like a sister i have never had...

ps - i've never believed in friendship between a guy and a girl.... till it happened to me... you never know what life brings you...

It might sound lame, but it's true.....that sometimes when a door closes, a window opens.
You will have other friends, maybe even of the caliber of this friendship, just be patient.
We have a way of drawing the people that we need into our lives. :)

Right, I'm not sure if I understand correctly because you've said him instead of her, and if there is one thing I thought I knew about girls is that most girls need atleast one real good girlfriend..

So that's why I got a little curious, just thought for a minute that you'd be a very unique person then..

Nevermind.

its not lame at all, its a good point, if you happen to lose your 'best friend' then there is a possibility that you will find another one in the future, so don't give up hope :)

That must have been hard for you. Friendships that precious never die, they just change a bit. Cheer up PG you will see your friend again, hopefully soon, and you'll just squeeze more joy into a shorter period of time. You'll be webcamming eachother within days!

i miss her...we exchange messages everyday...but i miss her... i miss those spontaneous talks we have had... i miss the feeling she's there for me and i'm for her (it's still like that, but....) ... i miss taking to her about everything and anything...
friendship is friendship, but the distance makes it more difficult, and especially the time zone...

Anytime ))))))))))

I know what its like when friends leave. ))
At first it feels like an emptyness inside you.
But eventually you come to realize.
They didnt leave.
They simply made room for more friends by filling a space in your heart with memories.. )))))))

Ah friends, they come and go.. It's always sad when you have to part with someone who's in your heart! But in the long run, it will make you stronger.. Feel bad for you :(

Hope you can find some rest and come to terms with it soon!

You are still friends, meet up every now and again.
I think you are very lucky if you have 2/3 great friends in this life.

polishgrtx, I know what you feel. My friend, my confidante, spur of the moment companion (because she lived close by) is getting married and moving to Las Vegas. She is closing on the house at the end of June... He is here to help her move etc. Of course, I'm very happy for her. She wanted to be married again very much (third one!) :)
Sure we'll keep in touch with all the modern devices available, but it's not the same.

My other girlfriends don't live that close and meeting up needs to be planned. Oh, well, another chapter in life.

THIS SAYS IT ALL:
Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favours.
Careers end.

BUT.........
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how, many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
