i m not polish but the meaning of mine is : = of the bull. (in spanish)

moooooooooooo

What is that then "bullock" all cow and no balls lol Only joking mate :)

I always feel sorry for the Polish football player Jacek B±k, pronounced (jatsɛk bɔnk), which if I am correct is slang for fart in Polish.
Bonk is also slang for having a quickie in English :)

in my highschool there was guy whose last name was Męczywór..what about that?:)

He's lucky he was not in a Polish highschool - a perfect surname to make fun of. I had a good laugh about it, too.

It means something like a 'sack-tormentor', or 'sack-pesterer' whatever it can mean. Wór - a big sack; męczyć: torture, torment, vex, or pester (also to tire out but it doesn't fit here for some morphological reason)A hilarious one.

ukpolska: B±k also means a bumblebee or a spinning top.

Radek is a diminutive of Radosław - a male name.
Rakaska doesn't mean anything specific.

Kubik - sounds like a diminutive of Kuba (Jacob) or something to do with volume (cubic meter)
Bielski - of white color
Wegrzynowicz - of Hungarian origin (the ending is more easterly; ukrainian/russian/armenian)
Kaliszewski - of Kalisz (Kalisz is one of the the oldest Polish cities)

Does anyone know anything (meaning/origin) about the name Marchewa? Someone told me it means "big carrot." Some people from Bulgaria insist that has bulgarian origins. Fathers side is from Poland.

Thank you!

celinski:
Lochki

depending on how you pronounce the "ch" ("sz" or "cz"e) it, it's either:
- little curls (hair)
- little female piglets.
- diminutive of "locha", female pigs.

Thank you! Kind of a funny name hunh? So I guess I can assume it's a Polish name and not Bulgarian. Even though I'm first generation american I only know my history as far back as my grandparents. I would love to have the dna testing done but will have to wait until it's less expensive...if that ever happens.

Can anyone tell me what the name Schwientek means? My g-grandparents came over from Silesia in the 1880s and no one knows what the name meant. It's been Americanized to Swintek.
