GoCar; the GPS-Guided Storytelling Car and “the exciting new way to see a city” is opening in Barcelona soon and we are looking for an experienced mechanic to maintain our fleet of vehicles in the first GoCar location in Europe.

The position of mechanic will be an integral managerial role within the company commencing early 2008. This is a start-up environment that needs a personality who thrives on a dynamic work situation and who can improvise solutions to create value. As early employee you will be instrumental in defining the systems and processes that will shape our growth, and help define who we are in this new market.

We require the successful candidate to:

-Manage and maintain our Barcelona fleet of GoCars, developing systems and procedures that ensure the vehicles are safe and reliable and encounter maximum uptime. Develop fleet visibility into productivity and performance.

- Assume a senior role in the business by understanding all aspects of the operation, managing and coordinating mechanical workflow with the ability to act as an assistant manager and interface with customers, if necessary.

- Set up a tidy, organized, functional workshop as well as managing and ordering parts inventory. Coordinate relationships with Franchisor and vehicle manufacturers as necessary.

- implement and enhance franchise management systems.

The successful candidate would possess outstanding organizational skills, be highly motivated and energetic, have basic computer skills and be fluent in English and Spanish.

Famliarization with two-stroke and four-stroke scooter engines, whilst an advantage is not vital. An mechanical aptitude is however.
