Wroclaw:
Die Toten Hosen

I hope you guys know what "Die toten Hosen" means in German, or what Germans mean when they say it, lol
I know this band, nothing special, but then again, it's a matter of taste. I like Germans but I don't like when they sing, sorry ( btw. the same with Poles).

It means sth like "Dead trousers". Not to take it literally ;-)

Ah, the big questions are coming out now. Should I keep my Marx, or shave down to a Lenin?

Enjoy the show, convex. Should be great.

Saw them long, long, long time ago when they were not so popular.

Cool band, cool lyrics ;-)

ROFL

Bratwurst Boy...

...nice choice.

The "Verloreren Jungs" also started as a Skinhead band and now are even integrating Hip Hop in their music. Commercialization I would guess ;-)

With 'cool band and cool lyrics' for the Toten Hosen I was aiming at the time when they started and played in small clubs around Duesseldorf, just like your band suggestion.

If I were the Toten Hosen I would hide in some corner and hope to sink quietly into oblivion not giving concerts....there aren't many things as embarassing as an grown old, totally mainstream wannabe independent wannabe punk rockers.

Song: ANTI HOSEN SONG

Es gibt nicht viel
auf dieser Welt
woran man sich halten kann.
Manche sagen Punkrock,
vielleicht ist da was dran.
Und es bleibt ja imemrnoch Rod,
wenn man sonst niemand hat.
Andere glauben an gar nichts.

They are definitely over their zenith,

but maybe once more for the good old memories...

Hey old man, they still put on a good show. There are plenty of "old" groups that still put on a great show. UK Subs aren't half bad... GBH are coming next month, and they're still kicking lots of ass.

since i was the only forum representative at the hosen gig i'll have to tell u how it was.

the support band (i still don't know their name) might have been ok if they had brought along another guitarist. in truth no-one in the audience seemed interested in them.

Die Toten Hosen are a very lively band. always jumping around and interacting with the fans.

the band played most of their most popular tunes and only left the stage after four encores.

the club, Klub WZ, seemed to be full of germans. i certainly heard more people speaking german than Polish. That part of BB's invasion plan was a success :)
