Hi,

I want to organize an expat meeting at the Irish pub in Krakow, ul. Stolarska 3.

FAW (Friday After Work), we could meet each other between 21h-22h enough time to arrange and get there.

They serve great food over there and always fun to hang around there, lots and lots of foreigners mixed with locals, magic combination.
And off course they serve cold BEER, and cider from the tap.

I know one of the owners, and probably I can arrange a nice gathering there whit all the expats who are willing to participate.
Myself I am originally from Rwanda, but grow up in Belgium most part of my life.

I have been travelling for quite some time, have lived in Bucharest, Sofia, Amsterdam, Antwerp (place where I grew up), Prague.
Now I have a position within Shell as an analyst.

I am sure that all the other expats have much more and interesting stories to tell about there experiences and travelling abroad.

So, if anybody would like to participate, hopefully more then 5 people, we can organize this on a regular base and hopefully get to know each other better, and expand our global friend network.

My private mail is Johan.Peijen@hotmail.com or Nzayituriki.Mbuoambe@gmail.com; give me a buzz !!!

Wish you all well and hopefully until we meet each other.

Riki

englishpresence.com will help you put together a meet up of expats. There are several in Krakow. At the moment, it's an undervalued resource. But as more people register themselves there, its geographical search will become very handy.

It slows down computer and works terribly - probably because of the map loading... Good idea but not popular yet, and you have to be patient...

The Shadow:

I'd personally be wary of registering on a site which has been registered by a UK limited company which uses a "dropbox" in London.

It's also not much use if people are using nicknames on there rather than real names.

plus it's called english presence...sounds like a fookin recruitment site for Combat 18.....although if you book at table at the mbassey i've love to see the looks that a reserved sign with english presence written on it would get from the local paddies (^_^)

No it isn't - it looks ******* dreadful. Comic Sans, what were you thinking, and that other font is straight out of the Teletubbies appreciation society? Completely broken on Firefox.

Amateur.

Last I checked, there was no such thing as the "laws in force in the United kingdom (sic)".

Very amateurish.

hmmm,...

seems to be that any request I make is ending up in something else as requested.

Anyway, hope soon to have some members who want to join us for a meeting or gathering in a nice place.

Thanks all for the reaction even though it was off topic, just want to organize a nice gathering where we can actually meet each other and discuss whatever we want to

He he ;-)

It appears the Trolls are welcomed, if not encouraged, on this forum. Keep searching for other forums. Lots of expats willing to meet up regularly even for niche hobbiests like myself.

Good luck with the meet up, Riki.
