Doubt it. Can certainly be done for under 600zl (provided Polski Express is involved).

H, you could probably do it for gratis, if you raided your mothers kitchen, hitch hiked to Gydnia, snook into the camping on ul Zielona, found a hole in the fence to get into the concert, then went mine-sweeping for drinks. lol

As, I understand we are assessing the costs of the festival, to the average punter, not the ones that will grow up to become CEO's of fortune 500 companies.

I wonder how many people do jump the fence. Back in the day when Glastonbury tickets were £25 (and no poxy booking fee either), loads of people used to get in for free. Or do Heineken also have a 'superfence' up?

Where is your sense of adventure, didn't you ever go tenting in your 20's.

nope.

I'm an avid trail runner, I've spent countless hours in trails with my mountain bike as well, love to fish....but at the end of the day, I take a shower. my sense of adventure has its limits.

gross.

i don't see how if the ticket alone is 400zl.

I took a train from Wroclaw to the Baltic and back just once in 2008 and it was 88zl each way (8 hrs of hell, btw...the train was so packed there were people standing in the bathrooms)

That's 570zl and you haven't even eaten/drank anything yet.

I just did a quick check of what train tickets cost. I put in Warsaw, it's in the middle of the country more or less, and a 1 way ticket in the morning to Gdynia on June 30th is 59zl.

A bus from the majority of Poland would be about 40zl each way, so that is 480zl. Add 20zl for food and 100zl for booze and it's 600zl. Plenty (assuming you smuggle in your own vodka instead of drinking Heineken).

you can't be serious. 20zl for food? how the hell does a human being survive for 4 days......on $7.

that's 5zl per day. please give me a sample menu for 4 days that totals 20zl.

eight packets of 'Chinese noodles' = 8zl
16 bread rolls = 4.64zl (29gr each)
four packets of cupa'soup = 4zl
Can of tuna fish = 3zl
Total cost = 19.64zl

Have you really never seen how Polish students eat?

I'd like to first just say......that is completely disgusting, especially when I think about the fact that they're not showering.....and I'm sure most of them aren't brushing their teeth either.

so basically, 4 days of eating stale bread and the same bowl of fake food over and over, i.e., complete malnutrition. no vitamins, no protein, nothing. a dream come true. and poles talk about how americans eat.

it's also worth mentioning you need to buy plenty of water to make 12 bowls of soup along with plastic spoons/forks/bowls, unless they're eating with the same dirty utensils and bowls every time. all that water could get kinda heavy. still wondering.....how do you heat up the soup if you're in a tent?

i'm getting sick just thinking about this. if this is all true, "Polish students" are just filthy.

Yes, there is a fence system, with buffer zones and dog patrols, it is very well organized. The security is very tight, the venue is the old Aerodrome north west of Gydnia, the buses from the WKD are free to the festival and the general atmosphere is good.

Those in the tent section, could take a free bus to Gydnia, then go to the beach and bath in the clean Baltic sea.

You are killing me, FuzzyW- lol

you mean per day? 20 zł is only for a lunch.
Besides that you have to buy beer at the spot (are you able to survive 6 hours of gigs not drinking anything?) because they won't let you in even with not opened mineral water bottle.
Warszawski is right.

I am humoring, FuzzyW. Have you stayed in the camp site, Maaarysia?
What are the conditions like?
I have only seen the camping section, I have never stayed overnight in a tent there.

Btw. I have a little advice for those who are going this year:
Take warm clothes!
In the night there is so cold in there that it can ruin all fun!

I recognized 22 and stopped about halfway when the list just went on and on with 100's of bands I have never heard of.

There you go FuzzyW, after Coldplay, you know only the American bands, Primus, The Strokes. I am surprised " Prince " is not known to you, as an American.

DesE, I don't know what " Swedish strokes" you are referring to. As far as I am aware, they are as American as " apple pie " with the exception of one member of the band, who is Brazillian.

This is why "Glastonbury" gives music festivals, a bad name.

I have seen both the Hives and Strokes live, the Hives are energetic, The Strokes are a better live band.

There were many electronic music groups/djs, that's why you don't recognize it. You are in one genre and I'm in another.

Good point, Maaarysia,

Jarvis Cocker, who's wit I think is brilliant, any man that gets up at the Brit awards and bum waves Michael Jackson ( 1996) gets my respect. For all you Brits out there you must remember the controversy, it caused in the UK press.
