Right, As i've just bought a maluch, (yes its amazing) for less than the price of a good night out I want to start restoring it to its former glory, If anyone is interested in a few beers in the evenings this week I'll be outside my house working on the maluch, it would be good to have some company, I'm starting this epic restoration this evening so anyone is more than welcome to join,

It might even be an idea to have a bbq if i can find somewhere that sells those disposable ones,

Hi dnz,

Great idea,
I think they are very cool cars :)

I hear Polish people are very sentimental about Maluchs, as it is normally the first car they had.
The fewer there are the more attractive they become.
Unfortunately I will not be near Poznan for some time.
But I wish you all the luck in the world on your project.
Check this out Maluch

It absolutely amazing fun to drive, me and mikey delphian drove round in it for ages yesterday and couldn't stop laughing, I mainly bought it for my g/f as she jokingly said she wanted one so found this and thought I could tidy it up a bit, It also means I can buy another big saloon car as we can drive this within the city to conserve petrol.

I have some 15" minilite style wheels in the UK which i'll bring to fit on it and i think it will look awesome, Always fancied fitting a motorbike engine in one though :)

Will you take photos and post them on here, please?.

I would be very interested to see your project and the progress you make.

Are you not going to put flames down the side? :) :) :)

I have never seen one go that fast!.
Would it not flip on corners?.
Are you going to put in roll bars?.
Tell us what you are planning to do, please.

I would still like to see photos of the engine in the boot before you do anything to it.

I am looking forward to seeing what you do.

The paintwork is staying standard for the time being as its pretty much perfect with the exception of the bonnet (carbon skin perhaps?)

Regarding the suspension, I think this will need to be totally replaced as there are no anti roll bars and it looks like a cross between a torsion bar and a mcpherson strut, Something i've never seen before although avo do an uprated kit for £92 posted, (nearly what i paid for the car).

Looking at the brakes these can be easily uprated to items from the uno in order to beef them up a little bit.

I've got loads of random bits back in the UK from my old drift car, bucket seats, wheels, steering wheel and some random trick bits which i'll bring back when i collect my sensible car from the uk,

I'll be taking the bumpers off tomorrow evening to check for rust and I also think they look much better de bumpered as the 80's massive plastic things ruin the overall look so i'll see what condition the body is in behind them, Also the door bump strips are looking a little worse for wear so they'll be going too.
