Starting from this year, August 2011, Indo Polish Friendship association
and
Promote-biz will be launching a contest to win one of the most prestigious titles, “Miss Vandemataram”!

Miss Vandemataram is the annual showcase event which culminates with the competition to crown a single performer as the most beautiful Polish girl with Indian outlooks. The popularity of Indian cloths & jewellery is wide spread among Polish girls these days. Many of them not only dress in Indian style but also speak Indian languages, learn Indian dance and play Indian musical instruments! They also have a reasonable amount of general knowledge about India. To add flavor to its surprise, these girls are also extremely good looking! So why can’t we appreciate them and honor them with such a prestigious title, “Miss Vandemataram”

You wouldn't be doing a bit of self promotion here, would you ?

Well " promotebiz" this is not a very equal opportunities competition. Why does it have to be the most beautiful Polish girl with Indian outlooks

I will have to boycott this competition on its non ethical grounds It you decided to be honest and promote it on the grounds of August 15th being Indian independence day. Maybe I could attend to sample some of the wonderful food and teas, your country produces. Does anyone else agree with me here?

So in fact you're promoting a beauty contest. I really hope some feminists go along and pelt the 'girls' (perhaps you mean women?), the organisers who are exploiting them and the lecherous, inadequate onanists in the audience with beefburgers.

I am quite suprised, Złotych Tarasów would allow themselves to be involved in a low end promotion like “Miss Vande mataram”

Therefore you are discriminating against all those Girls/Women that do want to dress in Indian costumes.

That is the worrying bit, encouraging ONLY Polish girls, to dress in Indian outfits. Why not use Girls from the Indian community in Poland. This Beauty contest really is starting to look wrong.

You are celebrating Indian independence day, one of your draws is scantily clad Polish only girls, wishing to win a low end competition.

Warszawski: I think you are looking things in wrong way!

This contest is to appreciate polish people who are interested in Indian culture. Not Indians who are interested in Indian culture!! If this seems wrong for you.. well, I have no more words to discuss further. Cheers and have a good day.

Uh, I'm sure they won't turn away women of any ethnicity. But it sounds like he was writing it as an Indian engaging the Polish community.

Anyway, good luck with the event.

You have to understand the brush of Indian businessmen and Polish girls, was tainted a number of years ago, by certain members of your community exploiting their position in Warsaw.

And it should be said a beauty competition. 30 years out of date and appealing only to the sleazy.

If they genuinely wanted to build community links or celebrate Indian Independence Dat, they'd come up with as better idea. I wonder what MK Gandhi would have thought about:

Exactly. Low end and sordid.
