Scottish lassie in Warsaw needs some friends

Hey all

My name is Jacqueline and I am from Glasgow in Scotland. I moved to Warsaw at the beginning of this year. I still haven't managed to make any good friends and the lack of a social life is starting to get me down!

If anyone fancies meeting up for a beer or coffee, just gimme a shout....would be nice to meet any other expats out there :)

I'm not from Glasgow and don't live in Warsaw either :) Lassie was a dog but we use it to mean girl. Like lass or, in the NE of Scotland, quine :)

Does that not look a bit sad though? Sitting in a bar yourself, trying to latch on to people??? I guess with my sorry state of a social life I dont have much choice!

Hey everyone

I have contacted a few of you already with regards to maybe getting a meet up organised. I thought it would be easier to organise on here with a new thread as different people will be free and different times etc.

I would suggest maybe meeting at Bar Below as it has been suggested to me.

Is anyone up for it? And if so, have a preference of which time/day we go??

Jacs: I'm out of town this weekend but will be in BB on either Monday or Tuesday next week. If you've got nothing better to do tomorrow, head down there to watch the football, the regulars are friendly enough. It's Marszalkowska 64, on the corner with Wilcza.

I am so confused!

It seems the thread about setting up a night out has been merged with my original thread....so confused man!

Ok the update:

I emailed Plan Be to reserve us a table on Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. No reply from them yet, so if I haven't heard back then I will go there tomorrow to make the reservation.

By the way, I haven't seen any of you yet. How do we recognize each other? By just heading to the table reserved us?

Yea, that would be easier. But, registration was already made. Once we ask the waitress/waiter which table it is, I don't think we'll have difficulty to find each other.

I hope tomorrow to be the beginning of a weekly occasion for us :) . That'd be great to meet up each week, to make warm conversations...

Well I should be there a bit early to make sure we have the reservation etc....plus Im usually early! So just look for the blonde girl....probably sitting by herself looking for people! Plus if you ask for the reservation under 'Hotson'....you should be shown to the correct place.

I think there will be 8 of us....but I'm not too sure. The more the merrier I say....so if anyone has friends they would like to invite then go for it
