Yes but their bands aren't as big there as they are abroad. Behemoth is the biggest along with Vader and Decapitated.

Yes we do have metal scene in poland and also a lot of metal festivals(the biggest in Opole-last year won by "The Mourners" and "Mad Undertaker",smaller ones usually take place in churches and cementaries) there is always lotta metal at metal parties , polish metal fans prefer cans and computer cases

Is there a metal scene in Poland???;)
We've got one of the biggest and best scenes. Check bands like: Decapitated, Sceptic, Acid Drinkers, Chainsaw, Lux Occulta, Frontside, 1125, Hunter, Vesania, Hate, Kobong, Pneuma, Antigama, Lost Soul, Corruption, Dies Irae, Faust Again (myspace.com/faustagain) and many, many more.

Katowice is a really happening place if u r talking about metal gigs. They have some good venues, the best being Spodek. I watched Tool there in 2006. Nokturnal Mortum also played at a place called Megaclub. Poland has a lot of metalheads in general. They could use the release from what can be tough living conditions
