Students form east prefere to study economics.

Students from USA nad Canada prefere medicine.

Students form EU countries don't have special preferences

every year we have 10% more foreign students.

Why Poland?

High standarts of education, and price. :)

one thing they don't like is that they feel that because of money they pay (Polish students don't pay for education) they have better accomodation or special treatment.



if we want to have more students in long term "lower prices + high standarts" is the best soultion. 97% of students are satisfied and it is good.

as to salaries I agree that Poland isn't USA

Poland is very good in this respect, it doesn't charge generally. What a great incentive.

The point I wanted to make was that, in general, salaries are disproportionate to the high level of education.

it slowly changes, last time we don't have problems with unemployment ... and salaries started to increase.

Of course we need time to make our country pefrect ;)

Well educated foreign students with positive attitude towards Poland are great investment.

I agree, the level of unemployment is going down and salaries have gone up. How do I know this? I was told by my financial advisor. I paid over 300zł ZUS for the first time last time and he attributed this to an incremental rise in salaries.

I was talking, quite clearly, about incentives. Why go to the end of ur studies to be paid peanuts? Got it?!!

not everybody is earning peanuts ... have you seen cars on Polish streets ?


What I want to add, the fact that 97% of students enjoyed their studies here, A lot of students come form Asia or Africa. Malesyan government decided to pay charges for their students ... they want their people to be educated in Poland ...

Polish doctors are one of the best all over the world (brits do everything to steal them ;) ) so Canadians and Americans are notcialble as well.

Of course even charges are lower than in different countries, it is noticable financial support for Polish education system (Polish students don't pay for education )

So why does Poland find it so hard to keep its people here Luke?

dont kid yourself, primarily they want their people to be educated where they can afford to pay the fees



customer satisfaction within education is recognised as being very difficult to measure. what the stats show, if anything, is that these students' expectations were perhaps met. just what expactations these asian and african students had of the polish education system is not shown by a percentage figure

Exactly, let's see how many Africans study in Norway or Switzerland. They have high standards of education too

so Polish doctors work where they want and earn enourmous money ... that is why Scandinavians and Canadians and Americans study medicine here. seanus you have learned Polish, so maybe you should read this article ?

why brits do everything to have our doctors in UK ? they are very proffesional.

polish dentists are now filling in for uk shortages. no pun intended

I know Polish doctors are good, VERY good, so why do Polish people complain about them so often?

I read the article and I know that the position is very rosy here. I'm not here to devalue anything, I know that Polish doctors are excellent. Some doctors felt the need to accept 'backhanded' payments, straight into their pockets. There are imperfections as there will always be.

Don't think that I am one of those 'enemy' Brits Łukasz, I'm as objective as I can be. I see many plusses here

It speaks the truth, Poland has a rich history of programming. In general, telecommunications is a forte of Poland's. U can thank Scottish inventors for inventing the modern world with the telephone ;) Oh, and radar too :)

Seanus I am not trying to say we are better or something like that ... I just have found article about foreign students in Poland. and I think that Poland has opinion of backward country ... so I wanted to show reality and positive changes.

our education system is strong (can be stronger) ... and more and more people want to study here ... that is all.

And I salute u for that Luke, I just threw in the Scottish stuff casually. I hope u find other such articles as I believe in them. I'd like people to be aware of these positive changes too. Good job Luke!!
