I would like you to elaborate on that. Also, maybe if you are coming from a ifferent culture - you might perceive the attitue as "servant" attitude, which I think is a wrong term for whatever you are trying to describe.

So if a superiority complex is a sign of inferiority,
and we could say those who have an inferiority complex are superior to how they feel about themselves,
is it possible to have just an eriority complex where one feels as important as they really are?

So what's tomorrow's subject Grzegorz? Why do Brits like mushy peas? Why do they drive on the left hand side? Why do they have hair?

No. That is one sight I have not seen. Thankfully.

Or maybe tomorrows topic will be "why does Grzegorz tar all Brits with the same brush"?

Maybe it haf something to do with the fact that you were in a shop? ;)

as for being better looking that goes without saying - have you seen the state of most polish men... yikes

Bubba, you still have the chance to take it back before you will be proven wrong. Otherwise things will get ugly. Thomas Edward Yorkish ugly! :D

Flowers can be beautiful. Unicorns can be beautiful too. Men on the other hand can only be handsome. I'm wiling to forgive you the heresy you are spreading here in this thread only because Grzegorz started this argument. Just don't let it happen again. :)

of course there are some instances where polish men are indeed strikingly good looking although further research may well suggest the influence of foreign genes ;-)

now... who was up for a hug...?

Theres a feeling in some of Britain that it is being 'invaded' by a foreign power. The fact that the 'invaders' all have shaved heads and wear combat trousers doesnt help.
Maybe they sould go a bit more undercover e.g. shop somewhere other than TK Maxx and have their hair cut by a professional.

Yeah, those combat trousers are quite sth, where's the war Piotr? Oh, away in Iraq Jacek. Then why the trousers Piotr? Hehehe. Classic work attire!! Nothing like a 'green' office, a somewhat skewed interpretation of feng shui but there we go

And Polish people, you should also make an effort to smile once or twice during the course of your day. It'll make you look less shifty.

Come on Kilkline, why change years of tradition? hehehe. Many do smile in my presence but maybe bcoz I'm generally an uplifting kind of person. It's just a national trait to some level, much in the same way as it is for Japanese to be deadpan and poker-faced. Let's not be too critical. Many Brits don't smile too much either

Just don't try it on the London Underground. You will either be thought a nutter, verbally abused or suffer the bizarre sight of everybody else in the carriage suddenly remembering there was something interesting in the newspaper after all.

Aberdonians are often sour faced, whining gits who spend more time looking for the wee pennies on the grun than smiling

I'm merely trying to help Gregory in his endeavours to understand how Poles are perceived. By creating this thread he's shown alot of guts in finally admitting his ignorance about anything outside of his little Polish bubble and I for one commend him for it.

The Poles are perceived as whiny wee doomsters in certain circles. Some are notorious for coldness. Personally, giving the life story is what bugs me. Getting a train ticket for me is a swift operation but the old hags here make an art of it. That's what they get up for so why not string it out a bit and keep everybody waiting. I always arrive 25 mins early at the train station, more than it takes me to get there, not because it's busy necessarily, just because every detail is contested. It wears thin!!

Another thing that got me was when I was reliably informed that I'd get a fine if I didn't have a ticket on a bus or a tram, WHEN THE DRIVER DIDN'T EVEN HAVE!! OK, u can buy from kiosks, fair enough, but in Britain almost all drivers have them. In the rare event that they didn't, I'm sure they would accept ur fare and let u ride. Polish drivers just bluntly snub u and don't want ur money, rather wait 4 u 2 get fined 100zł. It's a public service fella, u should have tickets. It'd be OK if once or twice they didn't have but most times they don't. That's slack and shoddy!!
