my family own a company which is labour intensive
It has 12 workers and the potential to double
We have a full orderbook and we are being taxed into poverty

We are thinking ove moving to poland.
currently in the UK we export 86% world wide

What is the average workers wage.
what is the tax issues like
what is the employment legislation like

We would need to sell everything here, and move all over there
We would be starting a new life, as a family. None of us need schools, and the likes.

We would need machinary, cars, houses...

What is poland like, and what is polish language like
Is there any government help?

Hi. Corporation income tax is quite low (19%) and It's probably going to be lower but generally taxes aren't low, however labor costs are much lower - wages are going up and non-payroll labor costs are high but still labor costs won't be anything even close to British sooner than in ~15 years. Average salary is netto ~2150PLN (1GBP=5.5-5.6 PLN) - total costs (with ZUS, healt insurence etc) is ~3300PLN. Unskilled workers you should find (depends on region) for (netto) 900-1200 PLN a month. Burocracy is a problem, government isn't helping much unless somebody wants to invest serious money, there are also quite a lot of grants from EU - improving quality of human resources, r&d etc.

there are also Special Economic Zones (SSE - Specjalna Strefa Ekonomiczna) in some areas of Poland with high structural unemployment (where the labour market was dominated by one branch, which after the fall of communism turned out to be incompetitve and thousands of people had been licensed from their jobs). In those zones you get significant tax reductions for several years, but I have NO IDEA how big your company must be to become eligible for those privileges.

economy is economy. I guess You expect to make a profit in Poland and want to have a tax deduction due to loss in Britain. It's possible. Profitability depends of your bussines idea- write more, maybe me or someone else on forum will have some advices.

Noy judging at all just interested, as I have looked into relocating there.

I was looking at the example of when Electrolux axed 500 jobs at one of their cooker factories in County Durham to move to Poland approximately a year ago. I need to analyse should they have moved, or should they not. Im looking if economically it makes sense to move and should we be concerned with alot of companies moving to Poland.

This is because im currently working closely with Hot Point cookers with the possibility of a move to Poland or another central European country. Stressful!!
