So, what happened?

Just let me tell ya that Poland is a country for Poles, as long as they're not tourists.

Can't be bothered. I'm gonna keep it to myself. All I'm going to tell is that the level of chamstwo (coarse behaviour) hasn't changed much since the fall of communism.

are you sure you didn't go to Russia and not Poland?? :) that sounds like Russia, a communist nation living under the name of 'democracy'

But I never said that. It's just sad that people change so slowly for better.

In the south-western Poland. Some people are really nice and helpful, some just ignore you or are rude. I don't understand that, especially when you're someone who spends (or wants to spend) lots of money as a tourist or hotel guest.

I'm pretty sure I was in Poland :/ Although some people didn't seem to understand the meaning of words such like 'Good morning', 'Thank you' or 'Good bye'.

I'm a Pole myself, so I don't think so. If I were a foreigner (especially a Western European or American), I can bet you a bottle of a decent malt, people's attitude would be much better.

cool,do I get a bottle of falling down water then, I met plenty of rude people in Warsaw, but didnt form an opinion of an entire population on that fact. The one who sticks out was a late middle aged woman who berated my Polish g/f for daring to speak in english with me on a tram as she(the sourfaced old party flunky,or so i was told) couldnt understand what we were saying to each other. My g/f said something to the effect of you have no one to report our conversations to anymore so what do you care. So no,rude people are rude people,I dont think they make distinctions very often.

the "one that slipped away " im afraid;) Still did have fun and cemented my love for Poland with all the quirks thrown in :)
Thanks for not classing me as a tourist Bartolome, but I suppose, truth be told I was just a tourist. My experiance another day that same trip might ilustrate my point better; I was taken to kola flea market ( Im interested in Polish mil' history and was looking for bits and pieces) where we found a mix of stalls where if I asked a price in my obviously halting Polish I would be given a price 2 even 3 times higher than if my g/f asked or Id overheard but was just confirming,so if you count trying to overcharge "tourists" (i play the game,i dont mind paying a little more coz i know my pound streches a long way ) 3 times as rude and uncivilised thats an example. On the other hand,on the same market I met traders who on discovering I was a brit interested in Polish history would present me with little gifts like books and badges so that shows another side.

i hate peole who dnt have repsect, care or thik bout any1 and anything.

wot i have noticed wid polish people is, if u tell them sumthing dat they dnt like then, they react in a bad way instead of doing the right thing, they demage ur things or u.

hav polish people livin nxt door, told them once to turn off the music at 2 in the mornin, they throwed eggs the nxt day, this was jus when they moved in the house nxt door to me.
told them again bout the music, they throwed a stone on the window, n its broken now, n police r useless as well.
so if i tell them again i thik probably will be killed or beaten up by these people.

if these people cnt live by the rules n care bout others, then i thik they shuldnt be allowed in this country

Where I live, at some places, it a job requirement for people to be able to speak polish. What the **** is that about? I'll tell you what this is! It's a ******* invasion! I've never hated a race of people as much as I hate them ******* Polish. It's getting to the point where I would gladly give my own life to bomb the mother *******!

Nice. Blame another race of people for all your problems, nothing to do with you of course. Couldn't possibly be your own fault that you don't have a job...

Solution to your unemployment - join the army, let them deal with you. If you lasted 5 minutes that is...

I know. He forgets that there are thousands of people in this country who come from other countries (other than Poland) and who are working - so why isn't it their fault as well?
