i think that a negative attitude towards germans and russians by polish people is a bit stereotypical, but most of that stereotype is based on history. go on google and type in poland or history of poland and read up on it a bit and you might find why that attitude exists, and why towards those two nations. having said that i think its time to move on, not forget the past but do not let past determine our future. now poland and germany are in european union and with time EU will probably get more and more intergrated, negative attitudes will not help. Polish and Germans, as well as the remainder of europeans have everything to win and little to lose if we can focus on slow but steady march towards unity, peace, and prosperity. let us have a U.S.E just like north america has U.S.A. hopefully we can make a new society which does not have to fight a huge war every 50 or 100 years, seemingly out of boredom and personal feelings of few in ruling elite, like it was in the past.

My friends family hates polish people. Well... they hate everyone one... they are portuguese and hate everyone that isn't.

I went to the wedding of my friends sister (She married a norweigan guy, and the family hates him... go figure) and he told me I should be discreet about my background lol... Not that I flaunt it around or anything! He whispered to me (whispering for the hearing impaired) "My grandmother hates Poles, Russians, and Jews" and upon hearing him she cackled (a toothless old lady cackle) and hit him with her purse. Than gave me the stare of death. (why did I have to sit at the family table??)

It was akward!! A bit like Borat's "The running of the jew" only here it was a little polish girl haha! OMG his family is CRAZY... but I brought a bunch of tales to laugh and gossip about with sane people.

I live in Germany for more than six years already. I can say that getting friends in Germany is not easy at all but I had never the filling that someone really hates me.

Give the Poles the same appraisals as everyone else. If the English are really so superior, with their linguistic advantage in particular, then that'll show in formal evaluations. I often hear how superior the Polish education system is, test out the theory

I am very wary of eastern europeans per se. I read about many attacks on black people in Poland especially, and that it is unsafe as a person of colour to go there. Mind you the only blacks that go there are Africans. You would never get Jamaicans there in a million years. Why is your country so poor that all its young people are leaving?

The Poles are not the most racially tolerant people in the world, that's true. I'm sure there are some black Brits here somewhere as Poland hires many English teachers in various schools. Not only Africans. Jamaicans wouldn't have a good reason to come to Poland.

They are a disgrace and totally lack knowledge and understanding of history. Many blacks and asians fought against Hitler to free there country and they come over here with there ignorant and backward views.

Yeah i'm sure all these black and asian people said to themselves "yeah, let's go free Poland!" or "yeah let's fight against evil." People love to romanticize the past to make themselves feel better. I'm sure they had reasons to be fighting and least of their worries were some slavic people they felt no connection to.

Ian speaks out, hehehe. The freeing of Poland was more of an international moral obligation. Poland was victimised by a RADICAL philosophy and their attempted obliteration was unwarranted. Many Poles actually fitted Hitler's Aryan philosophical ideals anyway so it was Hitler that was the hypocrite
