Read up on the history of communism and ww2..... That should answer your question....

You want something more recent..... Let's start with Russia threatening Poland with nukes, politically motivated meat ban, cyber attack on Estonia..... Theres dozens more...

Well judging by talking to you, you seem a like a nice guy so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

On the service front a Pole tried to rip me off for 2zl this morning claiming i owed 5 zl for parking for 10 minutes, its not a lot I know but its the principal. I kindly asked for a receipt and the parking fee was adjusted to the correct amount of 3zl. Buggers!

It seems a nationwide protest is in order! The gist of it is that if they can do this to several hundred? It will addup to way more than just 2zł

It's all relative. I had to pay £20 to park for 7 hours in London yesterday and I had to pay the congestion charge as well. Moral of the story - you get ripped off even if you pay the published rate.

I have a friend, idiot that he is,who was taken in by this polish woman who he met on a business trip.He had only met her three times, slept with her once on the last visit, probably spent less than about 8 hours in total with her. He is married with 2 children, for a very long time. She knew that, but it didnt stop her making a play, taking the lead in keeping in contact, telling him that she loved him, and talking about moving herself and 13 year old son to england where my friend could support her til she got a job!!!! He felt so guilty, he came home and confessed to his wife, who contacted this woman. The polish woman said she loved him, until it was made quite clear to her that even if she did get him, there was no way in hell that she would get a penny of their money, and would have to start from scratch with him. She lost interest immediately. What sort of person was she to do this, knowing he was married and still pursueing him. Luckily, my friend realised that he was acting like a prick, that was obviously where his brain had been at the time, and to him it was nothing more than a one night stand, that obviously he had no intention of leaving his family for this moneygrabbing slapper, however sincere she may have seemed. at least he realised his mistake. polish women= whoring for money!!!!!

A bit harsh. The chap in question was thinking "with his other head" and the Polish girl was being resourceful.... happens all the time - look at all of those grannies that fall for Tunisian toy-boys that feature in Take a Break etc.

No, lets be honest, she was being a slapper, and totally heartless in not caring that she was destroying someones family. She also didnt have a lot of thought for her own son if she was prepared to uproot himto a different country at the age of thirteen, to live with a bloke he had never met. my friend could have been an axe murderer for all she knew, He had actually told her that there was no way he would be able to relate to her son in any way coz he loved his kids so much, but she would have still done it. Prostitution for a passport i call it.

Disagree - rightly or wrongly, the Polish girl thought that she was doing the best thing for son by providing what she considered to be a better life. It's a kind of survival instinct. I know a girl who came to the UK as a mail order bride, but she quickly ditched her hubby and now has a rather successful career in financial services.

There must have been cracks in the chap's relationship with his wife for him to stray.

Well yes, hes like most men. If a woman opens her legs quick enough and wide enough, and boosted his poor little mid life crisis ego a bit, he was unlikely to say No. At least he realised his mistake, and knows he was a pratt. survival instinct is rubbish, isnt humankind supposed to be past that neanderthal attitude, or are you just proving my point, that this particular polish woman is a cave woman. I'm sorry, but you dont hear of, for example, African women on the point of famine or worse, trying to marry themselves off to the first gullible bloke that comes along to save themselves and their families, and they would actually have a good reason to do it. I'm sorry, but I have heard to many stories about polish women that deal like this. I have even spoken to a slovakian female friend, who admits that a large number of her friends even think in this way. Relationships are supposed to be based on more than the availability of a passport and greed.

I think you're making too much out of this. If he's your friend and the woman is gone, then move on. He'll already be feeling crap, he doesn't need it broadcast here.

And, I wouldn't imagine you should be calling all Polish women prostitutes or whores when he only slept with one and you don't even really know her intentions.

Come on, it happens across the world: See my earlier post about Tunisian toy-boys. I've also met many a misguided old fool who has fallen for a Thai girl and brought her back to the UK "love you long time, sucky sucky cock" LOL!!

I agree - however some people are happy to be exploited (in the case that you describe above, I mean bopth the chap and the Polish girl).

Well, easy to say, but as I am also a friend of the wife involved in all this, who is going through absolute hell at the moment, and wondering if she will ever be able to trust her husband again, and whether there is any point in staying with him, despite over 25 years together, that sort of points out the sort of turmoil that women who think like that can cause.

I'm trying to remember the name of the 79 year-old granny who married a 23 year-old Tunisian barman.... the tale was serialised in Take a Break a year or two ago... you just knew from the beginning that it was going to end in tears and a visa scam.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if my marriage was in trouble, the last thing that I would want would be one of my friends becoming bitter and twisted about the situation on a forum.

Don't be so judgemental, and let your friends sort out their problems between themselves.
