About "Nad Niemnem: book

a friend of mine was telling me about Nad Niemnem, which i understand is a book from which also a movie has been done ... can someone tell me more about it ? deziekuje :)

An epic love story, set in the Grodno area after the January 1863 uprising, pairs two lovers from different social classes. Their families, in the meantime, have strong objections to their union.
