I am of the opinion that a Nuclear war is un-winable. Is it right that NATO thinks that pre-emptive stikes are "Justified"?

Nato 'must prepare to launch nuclear attack'

No and I do not believe that Nato would do this in the first place. You are right that nuclear was is un winable and that is why the Soviet Union protected its East European satellite states for so long after the end of World War 2 as it saw possible aggression from the United States. The Soviet Union produced a huge arsenal of munitions but it was only for protective purposes and not for aggression, it would be totally against the will of the Soviet people otherwise. It was this huge quantity of munitions that bankrupted the Soviet Union. People do not realize what a huge drain on resources it is and how much even the maintenance of the Berlin Wall was in protecting Poland and East Germany from a joint American and British invasion after they (Poland and East Germany) had voted for Communist Governments after the end of the last war in Europe in 1945.

The absolute guarantee for a country's independance are the nuclear weapons.Extension of their use means that NATO will become unable to launch air strikes in some cases.

I always thought the Soviets preferred to have an expendable buffer of land and people between the "West" and the beloved homeland.

They did. That is why they allowed Poland to expand westwards by stealing parts of Germany and in return Russia accepted parts of the former Poland leaving more room in the East

I think it highly unlikely that Russia has any desires to fire bombs on anybody. Also, during the Cold War there were plenty of rockets in Poland directed against British cities. The Polish too, given the chance would have 'blown England out of the water'. Strange really considering the number of the buggers using us for their pocket money now!!

True, russia is hardly likely to want to bomb its second home, london, the russians have so much invested in the UK and vice versa all this hot air and bluster is nothing more than nostalgia for anyone over 30 :)

A nuclear war will almost certainly mean the death of our planet. In such an event i hope a nuclear warhead lands on my home so that i won't have to suffer to death from radiation poisoning. Terribly painful death btw.

Allowed? The soviets forced this change. Millions of poles were deported from the kresy to what is now W. Poland. Skurwysynie. And communism was imposed on poland by the ruskies, not voted. S.hit, you're one stupid f.uck.

This is funny, hot air and bluster. I'm bang on 30 so sitting on the fence, over 30 in a sense and not in the other (I'm not 31 just yet). I can't bring myself to say I could swing both ways on this one, hehehe. In the words of a great Brit Shakespeare, much ado about nothing. Russia will not have their way with NATO

Serbs were first attacked, in open and propaganda war. So called west (following Germany) arranged whole disaster and in chaos that occurred people suffered on all sides.

What is most important, those who committed genocide and crimes on Serbs were deluded with ideology of genocide and their crimes had ideological/institutional background. Especial responsibility of NATO, `western` leaders is that bearers of such a ideology against Serbs were greatly supported and encouraged. Crimes, if committed by some Serbs regularly were crimes of criminals, criminal groups of black market, mafia. Or there were cases of obvious ravage on enemy but saying that i don`t say that it was right but, there were cases its a fact. We are aware that some crimes were committed by some Serbs and Serbian public, state and system of justice persecuted/condemn that. Those are individual crimes and we are able to deal with our own scum.

But, just wait Brits (English). You wan`t escape from justice and when justice found you, let`s hope that it won`t be justice of double standards which you proposed for Serbs.

BDW, did you heard what said Ser Shon Connery (known as 007) on Kosovo situation? English, Scottish situation? Masses of Hollywood actors (Sharon Stone, Richard Gere, George Clooney, etc) arise in Serbian defense. Time of England has really passed. This what they done to us (anti-Serbian propaganda, supported genocide/ethnical cleansing of Serbs, sending mujaheedines on Serbian children, bombardment), together with Germans is their final moral downfall

Scots are beautiful. Scordiscs won`t forget their support in these times. Lets` hope they would be free from English oppression soon.

England runs Scotland with a pretend Scottish-premier and with pretend Scottish cabinet ministers. The Scots don't get a vote, despite having two parliaments because we English control them, along with our German mates.
