I need a guide to Polish parents for an American!

my boyfriend is Polish, he's been in America for over half his life (13 years) so he's pretty much assimilated to American culture, but his parents! I can't understand them! Well, not necessarily the language (I'm learning) but the culture! I have no IDEA how to act around them! The language barrier is one thing, I would love if he would tell his parents how uncomfortable it makes me when they don't really speak English around me at all. I just don't know what's appropriate. Oh, yeah. We were having sex the other day, and it got a liiiitle loud, and his mom heard and apparently she told his dad, because the next day his dad mentioned that maybe they should soundproof the walls! He says that's something they would normally joke about.
Anybody care to shed some light on my situation? It would help a ton!

how to act around them!

You should just act like yourself. Unless yourself isn't good

No, that's the thing, for me to act like myself, I have to be able to talk to them! I just don't understand why they won't speak English around me. I also need to understand what is expected of a girlfriend. I have a really dominant personality, but is that okay? Will they frown upon that? I know in America, women are becoming a lot more empowered, but what about Poland?

My gf's parents don't speak english. Maybe a little, but it's more of a confidense issue than not wanting to. As long as you're respectful to their daughter, they will learn to be more comfortable around you. As far as the sex goes....don't be so out in the open about it.. Try to have a little respect for their house.

I know, I didn't realize his mom was home! It was so embarrassing!
