I can only think that it is because over in London there are plenty of upmarket competitors with a better image so that they can't command the same premium. Maybe in Warsaw there is not the same level of competition from other brands?

There can't be much competition in Warsaw then. If there was, prices would fall as the retailers unloaded the stock..... Is the 'Russian' market still going down at the Stadium... loads of bargains there.

It's is probably as szarlotka said Zion, the competition for sales in U.S and the U.K is so high, it naturally pusehes the prices down.. it's a pity for you but life i suppose.. Don't you know anyone in U.K who can get a pair for you?

Smaller market of affluent poles and expats. There is no way the average earning Varovian could afford those prices

the reasson things cost more in the UK is becouse people make more money ! here people make less much less as matter effect so if things start to cost the same or like in this case even more !!! soon will be no people to buy anything in here they will be all in the UK !!!

It could well be that the Polish government adds an extra "tax" to imports, which roughly doubles the price of some items....hence the high value goods from the West cost more in Poland, even the cars are more expensive!

I guess that was the obvious answer Frank.... I got embroiled in supply & demand theory.... Did they get dispensation from the EU to do that... If so, how long for?

In Ireland they have been doing this for decades to cars..........50% Vehicle Registration Tax (VRT...or close to that!)...this is on the net price, so the government gets about 1/3 overall straight back to the taxman.
