To my mind the pages now look as though they are set out for academics. It actually looks dull and boring, simply because of the layout.

The test will be in the number of new members over the coming months.

But I don't do that ! If I decide to read a thread, I read all the posts on there since I last read the thread. So, answer to that is none. Its not like letter writing or reading a novel or watching a film. The point is there is a natural order in things and reading/absorbing information for the majority of human beings follows a nice logical structured process. Makes it easy and more comfortable to digest. assimilate information which should be entertaining and enjoyable on a recrerational forum such as this. The way the information is now displayed takes away from that enjoyment.

I'll debate this further tomorrow if I may, am still full of a bug and thats it from me for tonight.

Although I tend to disagree with you Admin. Maybe you could explain to us why you felt the need to change it ? What is /were the reasons behind it ? It makes me dizzy and I don't like it but I'm more than interested to hear the reasoning behind the decision to impose such a change :)

there admin they like to administrate, if there is nothing to administrate then they will make changes, a little like the people who dig up the roads, if there is no road to dig up and relay they will just dig up and relay any old road they choose.

I think people make too much out of this? It's just an update surely with nothing sinister behind it. It's a change and changes happen. My favourite cafe redecorated recently but I don't stop going even though the decor is not for me. I stay because my friends and I meet there and they do a mean mushroom soup ;)

As I wrote, I did not like it at first either. But after a few days it made me completely sure this layout is better, more useful, and friendly. Give it a few days and you'll see.

Feedback isn't valued here is it? It amuses me to participate in threads like this, because I know it's futile efforts :)

Tried that, but I still have the distraction on the right. I went to profile:
Show Avatars in Posts: no. but nothing changed. Did I misunderstand what to change?

In any event, it's hugely distracting.

You should not be seeing avatars if you set it correctly in your Profile. Of course, you will still see the username and poster's details on the right though.

Yes. The forum seems to be doing well despite the missing smilies.

For some reason the page looks wider to me. I know it isn't though.

It's like most political elections...doesn't matter what the people say but rather what those who hold the power choose.

Is today like April fool's day in America (Polish version?)?

The layout is quite odd, since Westerners read from left to right. Perhaps if someone was Arabic or some other culture that reads from right to left, this would be normal. But our texts don't go to right to left, so it will be weird, no matter what the culture.

I thought my javascript was acting up or something. Guess not.

I've just noticed. Some of the avatars are facing the wrong way. They would normally look/face the centre of the screen and now they are looking away. Odd.

This feels like déjà vu! I distinctly feel I have been here before with another matter. Can anyone remember?

A huge exaggeration I feel. I like it already. However, I don't feel that it should matter so much which side of the page the profiles are, what should matter is what usually does, the content of the posts on the forum, which is, after all, what we're here for...

Then I think you're only here for a moan. It won't matter where the profile lies, if you have something interesting to say, people will always read it and they will respond to it whether the profile is left/right or non-existant.

hhhhmmmm thats not the point, of course people will still reply and read, the point is why was there a change in the first place when there was no need for it??? plus people have been used to the format for such a long time
