Why are Czechs more effective than Poles and Poland?

Recently in CR I noticed a high degree of functionality in almost every aspect(transportation, services, etc.Everything seemed to run smoothly and Czechs really understood what one needs and always do sth in front to predict and satisfy the need. They are extremely efficient. Is this due to germanic influence on czech lands?Or due to different neighbours, historic traditions?
How do they manage to be so highly operational?Maybe Hitler was right calling Czechs the most dangerous Slavs? They seem to take from their neighbours everything worthy they have to offer.Even the houses they built during communism are vastly superior than polish ones built in the same period.

No, they have Brno in Moravia. It is a very nice city where the policemen help you :) They also have Plzen, home of Pilsner Urquell :) There is a Germanic influence evident in Prague which might account for their efficiency.

Maybe salaries are higher. That could be a motivating factor.

They have the great roads of central and western europe unlike most of Poland. They have the german influence(well located in Europe).Their average wages are around 60% higher than Poland and their house prices are beginning to reflect their actual economy (as they did not have such massive imigration)unlike Poland. They are an athiest country so the don't have loony priest on the radio preaching hate.
oh and the beer is fab

How would a prick like you know that? You don't speak Polish, so you have no clue as to what is actually said, you rely on another pricks opinion instead.

As a result we have a very opinioned prick like yourself and it shows. That explains the word choice as well, can’t be very sophisticated in the circles you move in.

Because the Czechs don't ***** and moan about how bad they've been treated and how things are so unfair. They tend to just get on with it.

First of all much less population in CR lives in villages than in Poland. In CR it is less than 10%.And czech villages look more tidy and better in general.

Maybe salaries are higher

They are higher because the invested capital there is higher. But obviously it is so due to advanced efficiency(or is there any germanic conspiracy into play?).

I have some theories:
1.Czechs did never choose to fight, instead they tried to adapt to each system during the 20th century(austrohungarian monarchy, democracy, nazism, communism,EU) the best way they could. In this way they managed to create better structures than nations who chose to fight and were negative to anything.
2.CR was an integral part of Middleuropa,so every transportation facility(railroads, roads etc) was already in place and they just had to modernize a bit their industry to get again the old Danube zone commerce function.Opposite to that Poland's main importer was the SU which stopped buying polish products after gaining access to EU markets with consequence the collapse of many sectors of polish industry.
3.Czechs kept secret relations with Austria and Germany throughout the communist period which facilitated quick transfer of capital to their country after the ''revolution'' in 1989.Lots of impressive stuff in CR has been built by Germans before WW2 who later were expelled.I was also informed that the Teutonic Order has revived and is active again(in peaceful activities till now) in its old centers in Morava.
So Czechs seem to be more able to adapt to and exploit or even improve german technology giving an edge of effectivity(Germans even using czech tanks in WW2 in first line for example to invade Poland). They seem to have a better long term look and comparing them to the sh1tty economic situation I encountered in Hungary(a tragedy in all aspects) they seem to do much better than every other former eastern Block country, the only thing that saddens me is that they have sacrificed some of their slavic ways in favour of germanization.I hope they just will not be completely germanized in the future in their pursuit of success.

Ostrava Third largest city.

So stop ******** me...

Recent growth has been led by exports to the European Union, especially Germany and foreign investment, while domestic demand is reviving.

Yes and that's the reason people only will know about Prague when people speak about czechs ;)

Aaaah - Czechs and Poles. Both Slavic nations, both speaking Western Slavic languages
and yet so different in some aspects. My family lives very close to the Czech border
and I used to go to Czechoslovakia and then Czech Republic almost every summer when
I was a boy. My wife and I spent bigger part of our honeymoon in Prague and we have
a lot of Czech friends, so I can put all the stories about being "more effective", having
more "Germanic influence" (LOL) etc. among fairy tales. I just know too many Czechs
personally to buy this :) They simply avoided the terrible damages that Poland suffered
during WW2, lost uncomparably less national wealth, infrastructure and population.
The difference gave them 25-30 years advantage over Poland (we managed to close
the gap a little, but it's still visible.)

When I look at Polish history, at all the sufferings that could have been avoided,
I sometimes wish we had adopted Czech survival tactics - so many times we should
have just kept our heads down and get on with our lives, like Czechs, but we weren't
willing to. So many of our national uprisings were completely unnecessary and impossible
to win... yet we tried. Take Kosciuszko Uprising for example, with less than 10 thousand
men, mostly armed with pikes and scythes, we started a war against Prussia and Russia
at the same time. We had some sucess at the beginning and then, surprise, surprise...
we lost. Or January Uprising of 1863 - totally and utterly hopeless, romantic, impossible...
Polish. I could go on like that, but the main difference between Czechs and Poles (apart
from different approach to religion) is the survival tactics throughout history. It was Czech
"keep your head down, get on with your life and see what happens" against Polish "liberty
or death". Apparently, their tactics was better.

The differences in organisation of public life, work efficiency or infrastructure (the
secondary Czech roads, outside bigger cities, are in comparable or even worse condition
than Polish provincial roads and I've driven on both) are minor and with time, as Poland will
eventually close the WW2 gap on the Czech Republic, they will dissapear.

Now those are some nice places, I should visit one day.
Anyways how does anyone know is Czechs "whine" less than Poles? They didn't go through as much fortunately, and they are entitled to say or whine as much as they want if they feel so inclined. As can we (Poles).

With a history like Polands i think yee have good reason to whine about the past.

Well, I respectfully disagree. WW2 would happened anyway as Poland was 'on the way' to Soviet Union. Czechs were always small and not important: beside uranium there is not much else there so what's the point of attacking them. They are kinda like Switzerland. So they had nothing to win by engaging Hitler.

Exactly like in case of Czechoslovakia.

.Czechs kept secret relations with Austria and Germany throughout the communist period

You're delirious.
Aren't you ?

they seem to do much better than every other former eastern Block country

Pre-ww2 Czechoslovakia was one of the top European economies (comparable with Belgium) and Czechia was the most prosperus and industrialized part of it.
This is the main reason for their good position today.
