Bombs go off in Krakow, Wealthy being targeted according to Police.

A 65-year old man, who lives in an affluent neighborhood of Kraków, was severely injured in a bomb blast on Sunday.
This is the fourth such incident in Kraków in the last three weeks. Investigators suspect that at least three of the incidents were caused by hatred towards rich people.
The most recent bomb exploded when the man picked up a piece of a plastic pipe that lay on his driveway. His actions triggered the explosion.
Each of the four explosives were home made, according to an officer from the Kraków police force.

I hope he wasn't injured too badly and hopefully he will recover soon. I imagine this is probably being done by someone who has mental problems.

I've been hearing about this all day.
Some looney-tune has internet access on how to make bombs, seems to be the general consensus so far.

I just hope they get the guy, bombs have been and always will be, too indiscriminate to be of any use in actually hurting the person you set out to hurt, I mean what if a passing kid picks it up?

I don't think it is anti capitalists. What should your wealth be to before you are a bomb target? Would it matter if he had used his house as equity to get a loan from a bank? Would it be just good enough to look rich?

Id say planting a bomb on a high street the day before mothers day when you know the shops are going to be busy, you have an intended target - "lots of shoppers" ....not that indiscriminate really is it? Bombs are there to maim and kill....

Pawian, if it was "thugs" on "thugs" the properties would have had guard dogs, throwing a pipe bomb into someone's garden - that is not very thug-like, nor did I read about any dogs being blown up. Time to let the Police, do their jobs and catch the perpetrator of these crimes.

It's probably someone who's never heard of him. Most likely it's some sort of revenge for business/crime etc. That or a nutter, possibly a Catholic right-wing one - Kraków isn't short of those.

According, to the Police, the Krakow bomber/s is/are targeting the affluent of Krakow, there is no information to suggest, the attacks are business/crime or religious related. Based on the information the Police are releasing, it would sound like the work of some left wing socialist nutter/s.

It's all speculation, JonnyM - gotta let the Krakow Police do their jobs, one interesting thing, after reading the article in the WBJ, the people I spoke to in Krakow, had heard nothing about the bombings. According to SeanBM, it started to become big news yesterday. Whoever the person/s are, lets hope they get them soon, before anyone else is injured.

That sounds like something that's going on in third world countries like Mexico, not a European country. I guess jealousy really gets to some people.
