Mr K seems to want to blame PO for an alleged hate campaign against PiS... I can really believe that calling someone a "mohair beret" is more likely to induce hatred than Mr K's own use of state police to set up stings against people (for political gain), blackmailing and terrorising a nation with alleged records of communist collaboration, making the country a joke in the EU and firing off all kinds of insulting rhetoric at all and sundry.

... and the sheer chutzpah of the man takes your breath away. I mean: pot, kettle, black? Das Moherkommando is PiS to a woman, right?

It's the oldest trick in the book : Accuse your enemies of what you yourself are doing (it's surprisingly effective, which is probably how it got to be the oldest trick in the book).

There is no comparison in public rhetoric between PO and PiS in the last few months. Tusk and Komorowski's rhetoric has (mostly) been relatively sane and sober and even slightly conciliatory. PiS rhetoric has been hate filled, confrontational and verging on massive paranoia.

Reputable sources say that Kaczynski was drugged to the gills (on anti-depressents) during the presidential campaign (which is why he seemed more moderate, as if he'd 'changed'). Is his current behavior symptoms of withdrawal or he has a found a Dr. Feelgood who's got him on a new toxic coctail that's making him seem more and more unhinged?

The article is a little out-dated.
Now we already know that Kaczyński turned down President`s offer.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski will probably not accept an invitation by President Bronislaw Komorowski for talks, Thursday, on how to end the increasingly ugly conflict between the two leading political parties in Poland.
Jaroslaw Kaczynski said at a press conference on Wednesday that the murder of one of his party workers was proof “that democracy in Poland is under serious threat”. The source of the threat was “the spreading of hatred against the opposition - against Law and Justice”.

The Maine? The Alamo? I give up!

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition."

Muddle over Cameron’s letter to Jaroslaw Kaczynski
17.12.2010 07:52
Downing Street is perplexed over Law and Justice leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski’s claim that British PM David Cameron congratulated him for not accepting condolences from Vladimir Putin in the wake of the Smolensk air tragedy.
The muddle stems from an interview given by Kaczynski to the American version of Newsweek, published on 13 December.
[...]He added that he had been at Smolensk airport the same day to indentify the remains of his twin brother, President Lech Kaczynski, and was offered the opportunity to accept condolences from the Russian prime minister, but declined.
In a letter sent to the Law and Justice leader “David Cameron [...] congratulated me on this decision,” Kaczynski told Newsweek.
The British PM’s letter to Kaczynski, sent three days after the tragedy (April 13) is available to readers on the official website of the Law and Justice party. However, no direct reference to Kaczynski’s rejection of the gesture by Vladimir Putin is made by Cameron.
“Words cannot express the pain you must be feeling at the loss of your twin-brother, your sister-in-law, and so many friends and colleagues,” PM Cameron writes. “Your dignity and courage, both first in Russia and in the public ceremonies in Warsaw, has been truly remarkable,” he adds.
Whether Cameron knew that Kaczynski had turned down the Russian offer of condolence at Smolensk is unclear.
Speaking to Poland’s Radio ZET, David Cameron’s press officer expressed bewilderment over Kaczynski’s claim.
“We are surprised by this. The Prime Minister met with Mr Kaczynski in June and offered him his condolences. Neither the catastrophe nor the later events were further discussed during the meeting,” said the Downing Street spokesman.

Commenting on the breakup in his party, Kaczyński cracked a joke: Watchful party organs have thrown out one reptile and two amphibians. It is a joke based on stalinist rhetorics used in the book The History of the Bolshevik Party.

After Tusk declared taxation for priests, Kaczyński declared that Tusk is an utter leftist who is planning to deliver a blow to the Church and renounce the pact with the Vatican. :):):):)

He said today: The ruling party, PO - Civic Platform, and its leader, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, is morally and politically responsible for the former President`s, Lech Kaczyński`s, death in the plane catastrophe.

That was said 1.5 year ago.

In his most recent interview, he said

I have a feeling that my brother was murdered.

Both in Poland and abroad there are people who benefited from the crash and Lech Kaczyński`s demise.

I am not so insane as to tolerate Tusk who is responsible for the death of my closest.

The guy is unhinged. If he repeats that even once during a presidential bid, he'll be handing votes away, gift-wrapped.

Today, Jarosław Kaczyński called for the boycott of Ukrainian EURO 2012 because of human rights violations in Ukraine.

Other Polish politicians, including right parties, called his spout irresponsible and harmful for Poland.

I agree.

I hope the guy will be boycotted by voters at next elections. :):):):)

On Saturday Jarosław called for the Euro 2012 final match to be moved from Kyiv to Warsaw. No other political grouping supports that call.

In this way, Jaro goes hand in hand with Erica Steinbach.

Its is just another proof that Kaczyński the Saviour will do anything, even ally with Satan, in order to topple the current government.

Most Europe`s leaders haven`t decided yet. They are preoccupied with other more important matters.

Steinbach suggested boycott last Tuesday, Kaczyński on Wednesday.

The Austrian government had said Wednesday it would boycott all Euro 2012 football matches in Ukraine after the country's chancellor already announced a similar move.
European Commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso has "no intention" of travelling to Ukraine, his office has said, following a similar decision by EU Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding.
