I do think. And I do understand the logic behind diplomatic immunity. But I don't think this should be covered by that as well. As far as I know it's an offence in Serbia to drive while intoxicated. He should at least be punished for that, like all of us mere mortals are when we do stuff like that.

Noam Chomsky

Hm, isn't that the one of "Hegemony of Survival"? I read his Johan Huizinga readings...But I wanted an answer from you, I can buy a book by Chomsky any time I want, that's not the point. I wanted your opinion on the theme that I put forth preceding the question as it is a Yugoslav question.

It happens, many have foibles such as those! With a diplomat, you want to send out a message that it won't be repeated. It is something of a tradition here, many died at the start of the month due to the long weekend.

As soon as he's able to travel he needs to be recalled to Poland and face the consequences. This is inexcusable.

He should face the music. He was driving his own car on his private time. Diplomatic immunity my a**, besides he’s got a driver at his disposal 24/7, no excuse.

'Almost killed' and put on home treatment??? Tough kid.

BTW, 'looking' drunk after he had a near fatal car crash doesn't mean he was drunk.

almost killed means that fortunately child survived and that (extreme example) father of child don`t have reason to hunt ambassador due to vendetta

immediately after arrival of police, ambassador called upon diplomatic immunity and preliminary investigation by the traffic police was stooped. Police couldn`t take blood from him by the force after he refused to give blood sample voluntarily
