German fanatics attacked historical reenactment group wearing 19th century uniforms. One person is killed, just heard on Radio Zet. What's going on ? Are they those brave Europeans blocking Polish fascism or what ?

it maybe weird for you but strangely it was true - and those German anarchists haven't come to just watch - they actively attacked people starting from the aforementioned reenactment groop in some XIXth century military costumes (Napoleonic I've read) - then they also attacked the police but the police have driven them out of the street and they took shelter in some cafe and barricaded there

How many Germans were amongst the hooligans? To me it sounds as if the media is making something up by crying "The Germans attack", while in reality it was a clash between Polish right and left wingers and the police. What is the truth here, do you know?

Thanks. Leaves the question: despite Schengen, why on Earth were they let into the country? I could bet that Polish authorities were forewarned by their German counterparts that those extremists were on their way to Poland. Really strange.

Merged: Independence Day Hooligans I just saw the shameful actions of these "anarchists" in Warsaw. What in God's name could anyone have against independence? Would someone please explain to me from whence this is originating? The images of water cannons on crowds brought back terrible memories of the riots during my time in the 80's. So very, very sad.
