PiS is staging an independence march on 13th Dec. to mark the 30th anniversary of martial law. It will be also be protest against the ruling Tusk camp in general and against what Kaczyński sees as Sikorskii's sell-out of Poland and encoruagement to create a Fourth Reich in Germany What is your opinion of this?

I think that Kaczynski lost his momentum and his initiatives are look at as something doomed from the start.
In my opinion he brought that on himself not but losing elections but by the way he is approaching international politics.
The mass media in Poland are strongly biased against him but he is his own worst enemy.
I don't think that there would be many people joining that march - by many I mean ten of thousands like during the Polish Independence Day.

I agree in general with your asseswsment. For whatever reason, he has lost the reputation of being a great polticial strategist, and is alientating even many of those who had supported him in the past. Many of hisrasense -- you don't sweep dirt under the rug like the PO did but first clean things up thoroughly to build on a clean and firm foundation. Unfortunately that came about 15 years too late.

Actually I'm on the outside looking in but I am astounded by the actions of countries like Poland and Ireland who fall all over themselves giving into German demands. I mean they've spent the greater part of the past hundreds of years fighting, yearning for freedom, and now that they got it what do they do? They capitulate. Poland should be following the lead of Iceland and exhibit a little bit of independence, especially from the likes of Germany and Russia. Sikorski says that Germany should show some leadership? Poland should show some leadership and develop an independent state. Norway is independent, Iceland is independent, Switzerland is independent. Poland can be independent.

I think Kaczyński has finally decided that he has beat the topic of Smolensk to death, and needs to find something else to yell about.

Did Mr Potato Head not write about this in that famous book of his that lost him the last election?
