i dedicate this thread to the memory of the greatest Polish and Slavic patriot, ever.

Lech Kaczyński wasn`t ordinary politician. No. He dared to criticize powers of so called west for their villain aggression on Slaveno-Christian Serbian people and attempt of violation of Serbian sovereignty.

Let us all remember great words of brotherly Polish President Lech Kaczyński. Speaking in New York, in UN headquarters, Kaczynski once again condemned the Polish government's decision to recognize Kosovo: ``I have never tried to hide that I consider it a mistake. However, the government's decision is legitimate, but I, too, have my competencies and I am saying with severity - there will be no signature of mine on appointing an ambassador to Kosovo`` and also ``international law is binding only for the weak, and not for the powerful``

yes. Honest and brave people like Lech Kaczyński can`t died actually. Their spirit is immortal. Their words are historic.

Maybe:

say what you want but, i don`t need `Wikileaks` to educate myself. Just look what Kaczyński said THEM in the face, during UN GA session: ``international law is binding only for the weak, and not for the powerful``. Lech Kaczyński would become legendary Polish president. Mark my words.

or think about Jan Lopuszanski, of a small Catholic right-wing group in Polish parliament, that made his warning to the people of Poland, while tries to speak about injustice committed against Racowie (Serbians). ``If, today, NATO's putative right to be a judge of other nations and their governments and to enforce these decisions by way of violence is recognized, this right may tomorrow be directed against any nation in the world, Poland included``

i don`t think about those people. For me, those people aren`t immortals.

But, people like Zawisha Czarny, Jan Sobieski, Wladislaw Warnenchyk, Milos Obilic, Nikola Tesla, Frederik Shopen, Maria Kiri, etc, etc... are real immortals. Lech Kaczyński, for me, count among those immortals. only small-minded people aren`t aware of his great bravery, dedication and true virtue.

...not exactly news, kinda figured that out since Roman times.....

The first enemy of any government is the people they rule. Only by dividing the masses through race, religion, class and finances are the elite able to rule.

Think of of humanity as LEGO.

World Society is effectively a series of pyramids, the only way the top of the pyramid can retain it's shape is by distinctly separating the building blocks, so that they push and pull at each other, but never move together. If enough blocks move in the same direction the pyramid will fall.

He was a patriot for sure! He vetoed what he considered to be unacceptable.

However, he wasn't interested in bringing Poland that close with Russia, unlike Tusk and Kommie. Don't you feel that that part of him was lacking, Crow? Creating a dialogue with Russia seems to be important for these times.

They sure did! What a horrible choice!

LK was not that popular, Crowie. I really believe that he was swept aside too quickly. There are precious few programmes about him on tv. Like it or not, Poles quickly became divided over the matter. This talk of unity was all in the Press. I was told not to raise it in class due to the potential for divisiveness but I chose to avoid it for a different reason. Namely, that of sensitivity.

LK sought to take a stand and was principled on many matters. I think Piłsudski made a play for much more but he operated in different times.

As Serbians likes to say:

``ľiv je Kačinski, umro nije,
dok je Poljske i Srbije!``

in Eng. >

``Kachinsky is alive, didn`t die,
as long as there are Poland and Serbia!``

It's a pitty that Lech Kaczynski passed. In my opinion he was a poor president, but he was better of the Kaczynski twins. Jarek is very aggressive and truly vindictive man who doesn't look for any cooperation with other politics parties or other nationality. He builds his power on a viciousness of Germans and Russians. It's a clever and witting game, Poles were taught the hate for Germans during communismus times, Russians occupied our country during 50 years, so we don't like them either. This politics approach is quite primitive in my opinion, doesn't lead Poland to better future, just to close us in odd nationalist country, like North Korea, with one person cult... I don't say that the current govern party is better, they don't do anything. But their cleverness is that they don't do good things and bad things, so it allows them to keep quite big electorate with them.

Polish tradition doesn't let us to tell wrong words on dead, so Lech will be regarded in our memories.

Now it is not so easy to give comments and think about the past. We can only react somehow on some actions and foresee the future reaction of the current president concerning the Kosovo problem, so there is no need to oppose, but we have to express our points of view and defend our political freedom.
