Yeah there is enough prejudice against Polish people.

It is even promoted in the West generally.

I mean while they gave Blacks civil rights in the 1970's is the same time the media promoted Anti Polish jokes.

If someone said Polish jokes against Black people it would be the end of the world.

But, Apparently because Poles are white is okay.

Also in England they make alot of prejudices against Poles. With media manipulation blaming Poles as prejudice which is actual prejudice.

In Germany many of the comercials & television programs have terrible Anti Polish propaganda.

Oh stop it. You can say this about any group of people. Of course not every person on the face of the earth is going to like Polish people or any other given group of people.

I meet people all the time who know I'm Polish and I don't see this mass racism against Polish people. Frankly most reasonable people care more about how a person is personally then their ethnic background.

Either you're wearing your ultra-Polish nationalism on your sleave and carrying a negative vibe with it that provokes people or you're just making this up to set up Polish people for more racism against them on this forum. Most likely its the latter.

Most people I know judge people as individuals and not their ethnic or racial background.

First of all, don't confuse racism with simple prejudice or ignorance...Poles are not a 'race', but a nation and a people.

Ignore these people, find better companions...If these people strangers, simply leave them, walk away.

As far as the accomplishments of Polish people, you have the Internet and a world of information at your fingertips: Start there and learn about Polish people, their history and accomplishments.

Well he was talking about the Poles, not the Mexicans, so yeah they're a different race with the respect of each other of the people you just mentioned. So if a Mexican patronize Pakis that would be racial, or if a Paki speak bad of Poles that would be racial as well.

From what I heard from my parents and others, anti-Polish prejudice in the US was much worse in the 1970’s then today since in the 1970’s that was when it was pushed the most by Hollywood and the big 3 TV networks, especially NBC-TV. The networks had a much bigger reach in those days.

But at least anti-Polish prejudice isn’t in the mainstream like it was in the 1970’s.

In more recent years, usually white-trash minded people who made anti-Polish slurs apologized afterwards because of pressure put on them by not only Polish Americans, but by non-Polish Americans as well.

People in the mainstream, such as the late columnist Ann Landers, Big Lib CNN founder Ted Turner and Big Lib former Senator Arlen Specter apologized for anti-Polish slurs they made. Some people think Arlen Specter loss by disproportionate margins because of his anti-Polish slurs.

If you meet people that ignorantly say anti-Polish things, kindly educate them that what they say is anti-Polish prejudice. If they keep pushing it, then you know they are unsophisticated and insecure about their own ethnic identity and you might as well walk away from them. They most likely insult other groups as well. I find that sophisticated people don't make slurs about Poles or anyone.

But at least anti-Polish prejudice isn’t in the mainstream like it was in the 1970’s.

In the corporate world today, its generally not acceptable to push anti-Polish prejudice or any kind of prejudice.

We are all of the same race. It's called Human Race.
The main issue here is that humans, unlike animals, discriminate between each other using the difference between cultures and religions as an excuse. That's how xenophobia, intolerance hate and territorialism was born.
For instance.... Many cultures have different religions and believes. They all want to please their God in their own way. But they don't stop to think that when those religions were born or "invented" as the atheists say, this planet with its human race was not split apart like a birthday cake with so many borders, fences, flags and national anthems. Now there is that stupid thing called "patriotism" and we defend it like if it really matters.
"-You can go to this land but cannot enter that land. You can enter here but not there unless you have a visa-" and so on...
There's people dying on boats trying to get to a safe part of the planet. In this case Europe, but once they make it to the coast (if they do) they are given the name "immigrants" and are then processed like if we were talking about a race that came from space.
You see, If Poland was not in a map for a few years or not, doesn't really matter. The important thing is that a great part of our human race was also erased from the so called map. And we keep allowing it to happen.
