Marta Kaczyńska recently posted doubts about yesterday's events on facebook:

"Boeing awaryjnie wylądował- bez otwartego podwozia, na betonowym pasie. Na pokładzie było 230 pasażerów. Nikt nie doznał obrażeń. Samolot jest w całości. Dnia 10 kwietnia 2010 roku TU-154M obniżywszy się znacznie poniżej 100m po zderzeniu z błotnistym podłożem miał się rozpaść na drobne kawałki. Proszę o komentarze"

slightly free translation for those who have yet to learn Polish (though if you live here, you SHOULD!!!!)

"The Boeing landed with no landing gear on a concrete runway. There were 230 passengers on board. No one was hurt. The plane is (still) whole. On April 10, 2010 a TU-154M after having descended to somewhat less than 100 meters supposedly broke into small pieces after hitting/landing on muddy ground. What do you think(?)"

My comments (trying to remember that she lost her father and is still in a fragile emotional place)* would be that there is a very big difference between a controlled emergency landing on a prepared runway and a crash landing after hitting one or more trees.

Anyone else want to rise to her bait???

*and she gets a point or two for not even trying to pretend that she likes her surviving uncle

A smooth landing , even with no wheels , is very different from cartwheeling inverted along the ground....
