Europe’s justice commissioner Viviane Reding has warned the Netherlands that it must respect EU rules on the freedom of movement between member states.
The Telegraaf says the minister was referring to plans by home affairs minister Henk Kamp to deport Polish migrant workers who lose their jobs or cause a public nuisance.
If the Netherlands fails to comply with EU legislation, the commission will make its position ‘loud and clear’, the commissioner said. ‘All member states are equal and the rules are transparent,’ she said.
Poland’s ambassador to the Netherlands said recent anti-Polish statements by politicians ‘border on discrimination’

Its not targeted at Poles alone though is it. Its a blanket rule similar to the ones they used to have in place. When I was looking into going into a buisness with a mate in the netherlands it was clear that despite or maybe because of the "liberal" nature of the netherlands that it is far more interested in the full intergration and participation of all people who move there, and thats a good thing in anyones books. You have to speak Dutch to access services, you cant be third or fourth generation and still speaking some sub continent dialect like you can in many other EU countries.
In short, the Netherlands should have a right to boot out who ever the heck it feels like, drains on their sociaty with no strong ties to the Netherlands would seem to be a sensible place to start,as for deporting crims' ,seems entirely logical, those Polish animals that murdered the elderly couple in wolverhampton last month will now cost the UK Tax payer for the length of their hopefully considerable sentances.

It is not just poor-world migrants who stir controversy. The long-cherished freedom of the EU’s citizens to live and work anywhere in the union is sometimes contested too. Mr Sarkozy clashed bitterly with the European Commission last year over the deportation of Romanies to eastern Europe. Anti-Polish sentiment is on the rise in the Netherlands, which is threatening to expel easterners who have been unemployed for over three months. Geert Wilders, the kingmaker better known for outbursts against Islam, has taken to accusing Poles of committing crimes, being drunk and stealing Dutch jobs.

Agreed, but what about the Dutch animal that murdered his female neighbor in Bristol England.

Why should Poles a few hours drive from their home be allowed to sit on their arse getting Dutch unemployment benifits? Might be OK if it was a genuinly reciprical arrangement ,but clearly its not, unless Polish unemployment benifits have shot up lately.....

Why should Dutch companies be allowed to operate on the Polish agricultural foods market, raping farmers on price and forcing Polish competitors out of business.

Cry me a river!!! Why would anyone want to stay in a foreign country if they dont have a job - isnt the main reason for travelling abroad work? Go back home if you dont have a job....

You really are a f*kingc*ntingId*ot - I have a friend of friend who WAS a dairy farmer - 7 generations - he had to have his herd slaughtered because it he couldnt even sell them off - lost the farm and land because of CHEAP imported milk...he is just one of hundreds on my Island that has gone down this road...So dont think I give I fook about some Polish farmers - maybe they can get jobs in the factories that have relocated to Poland that have left 1,000s unemployed in other European countries....

I'm sorry, but I can't see anything wrong with that.

and stealing Dutch jobs.

As I wrote earlier on PF, I've found a new job in Poland. I will start on June 1st. You know what? I have already been accused by someone of stealing jobs from Polish people ... and I haven't even started yet :D. These comments are typical for simple minded people. There is the possibility of finding a job abroad, and there are plenty of jobs out there, even for a 44-yr old ex-officer who has never done anything else than being in the army. And the simple-minds will ALWAYS accuse a foreigner of stealing jobs from them (mostly while they are sitting on their arses doing nothing).

We are in the EU ... Poland as well ... like it or not. Open markets. If you don't like it, next time when you go to the polls, find yourself a party that wants to quit the EU and vote for them. But I guess that'll be a hell of a problem ... ;)

Burglary and drunk driving by Polish workers in Netherlands is a nuisance, but crime and inappropriate behaviour by non-European immigrants is much worse. I don't see why a jobless homeless Pole should be deported whilst serial criminals and parasites from Middle East, Surinam and Africa are all allowed to stay.

I guess times are getting desperate... I mean these countries still have sovereignty don't they...?

It's all about capacity... and at a guess I would say that's diminishing...

I think this is just an argument that Liberalism has failed.

The West has artificially inflated the minimum wage, & have had massive amounts of taxes due to liberalism.

The end result is that the businesses & farmers in the West can't compete with cheaper countries.

You can blame liberalism for that.

Just like Poles can blame Far left Liberal Communists for the reason why Poland is way behind.

When will people learn that Liberalism stagnates?

Enough of stupid games with these damn pederasts. Make it clear that If they don't shut up and apologize, Dutch companies will never get any public orders here and their business will suffer too, Polish law is so messed up (which is a terrible thing but a plus in this case) that It's easy to do such things legally. Another thing, call for European war on Dutch pedophilia. These people must be carefully watched wherever they appear, they are danerous insects and must be treated as such.

Edit: and express regret for liberating many of their cities during WW2, I personally find it shocking that our people were losing their lives for the insects.

It's good to see all of Europe's getting on as one niice big family... :S

That's what happens when these things are set up under the feigned premise of peace, when in fact it is set up for the purposes of competition...

Well... you got it!

Let's all flood Poland's labour market shall we..?

Brainiac, it is not the Polish workers that are stealing jobs, it is the companies that are relocating to take advantage of lower salaries and more competitive markets, regarding your

that has to do with European milk quotas. The Dutch companies who are active on the Polish and ukrainian markets have been squeezing farmers for years, pushing down prices they paid for fruit and selling at massively marked up prices to western companies. Now the industry in Poland is starting to organize itself and the days of these charlatans are numbered.

Stu:
next time when you go to the polls

I vote with my purchasing power, I never buy products from dutch owned or operated companies, purely because of what I have seen them do here in Poland, I have nothing against Dutch people, although the ethics of Dutch companies I have seen are less than ethical

Wrong, warszawski ... it's the other way round. German, Belgian and Dutch farmers are in a squeeze because of the flooding of milk by farmers from across the former Iron Curtain.

Also Liberalism tends to have high taxes for social programs. Which only leads to more expenses & less profits.

The Netherlands has got to do something to reign in its social welfare program, the problem is not the Poles, it is the north africans, former Yugo's and Russians. Who turned up to the Netherlands in their droves and screwed the system for what they could get. The current problem is not a Polish made problem, it solely Dutch created.

By losing their job doesn't mean they can instantly be deported. They can still get another crack of the whip. There are other ways of resolving the public nuisance issue. You don't see most countries deporting people for breach of the peace.

Stu, we made a research of the Polish market for one of our clients, interviewing a number of players on the Polish market and visiting a number of international food fairs. I would like to name and shame these unethical Dutch companies, but of course that would be very unprofessional of me. I am not discussing the milk market that is different issue.

I agree with you it is mostly non whites in Netherlands that have caused the problems.

Same with in England.

I am not sure why these nations decide to give favoritism of Non whites over Poles.

You think there is favouritism like that, PM? England has always had many more coloured folk than Poles. How can you be sure that coloured folk in the Netherlands are causing the problems?

The rules in the Netherlands was, that if you had worked for 6 months and longer and lost your job, you could claim 90% of your base salary from the social welfare program, No wonder so many Morocans screwed the dutch system, bringing in all their family from North Africa to live off the system.
