yehudi: who is an openly anti-Israel organization and not at all objective. Everybody becomes "openly anti-Israel" in nowadays jewish publications, isn't it? Israel can't do wrong, right? Does it never occur to you that all these masses of international criticism may have a healthy portion of truth? That you are becoming the pariah of the international community very quickly?
What will it take till you come out of your denial and accusing your criticizers of anti-semitism or anti-isralism or what not?
But it isn't only international voices, you are ignoring your own israeli warner too...one of the few sane voices is Larry Derfner who's columns in JP of all places are a truly hopeful sign but then just read the talk backs to his true words and how much hate and venom is spitted at his direction...

... The kill ratio was 100-to-1 in our favor. The destruction ratio was much, much greater than that. To this day, thousands of Gazans are living in tents because we won't let them import cement to rebuild the homes we destroyed. We turned the Gaza Strip into a disaster area, a humanitarian case, and we're keeping it that way with our blockade.
Meanwhile, here on the Israeli side of the border, it's hard to remember when life was so safe and secure.
So let's decide: Who was the victim of Operation Cast Lead, them or us?
No question - us. We Israelis were the victims and we still are. In fact, our victimhood is getting worse by the day. The Goldstone report was the real war crime. The Goldstone report, the UN debates, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Red Cross, B'Tselem, the traitorous soldiers of Breaking the Silence and the Rabin Academy - those were the true crimes against humanity. This is what's meant by "war is hell."..

... Virtually all of Israel is now speaking in one voice against the Goldstone report, against any attempt to blame us over the war in Gaza. We've honed our message to a sharp point and, inspired by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's performance at the UN, we're delivering it with just the right tone of outrage:
How dare anyone deny us the right to self-defense! How dare anyone deny us the right to fight back against terrorism!
Very nice. Puts everyone else on the defensive. The right to self-defense is up there with motherhood and apple pie - who's going to come out against it, especially for us, for Israel, for the Jews, for the people of the Holocaust?
The right to self-defense - perfect.
But I'd like to ask: Do the Palestinians also have the right to self-defense?
We probably wouldn't admit it out loud, but in our heads we would say - again, in one voice - "No!" ...
