Does Poland support the idea of Slavic unity?

I am a strong supporter of one Slavic nation with modern day Slavic countries as states within one Slavic nation whose unique languages and culture/ religion are protected. In the end we are all are the same people.

Science had shown that all Slavs are apart of the one people this has been proven by genetics. I suggest you both do some reasearch.

Ok, but Poles are not purely Slavic. The Polish identity has existed for roughly one thousand years. During that time, a lot of mixing went on.

Besides, genetics only is a dumb argument for having a Slavic nation. I realize your scientific knowledge is very limited but I'll let you know that it's actually healthier for people to have genetic variety. So establishing a homogeneous state is biological suicide.

The core foundation of DNA in Slavic counties is the same with little admixture from neighbouring countries and people's.
No person on earth is 100% anything. But ALL Slavic people have common ancestry.
R1a is an example maybe you should google it

Well I can assure you the idea of Slavic unity is very much alive in Poland as many people who support a Slavic union come from Poland or are of polish ethnicity. One of the most famous Polish heros himself (Pilsudski) supported partial Slavic unity.

Science does not lie. You may not wish to believe that Slavic people are all related but that's the fact, we are all apart of one people who speak different dialects one common ancient Slavic language and who's culture are only regionally different.
The future of Slavic people does not lie in the west but in the slavic east. Do yourself a favour google Slavic DNA in Polish and read what Polish geneticists say, because a fact is a fact .

Wrong, otherwise Slavic countries wouldn't have such a variety of mitochondrial haplogroups and Y chromosome haplogroups.

Kiddo, I can tell I'm a hell of a lot more knowledgeable in genetics than you are. R1a1a is a common haplogroup among certain Slavic countries. However, Serbia is an example of a Slavic country with a low frequency of this haplogroup. Do you no longer consider them Slavic then?

All Slavic unity projects, I have heard about, assume Russian domination, to various extent. That is the last thing, that Poles would support. We just managed to free ourselvs of such a situation.

Pilsudski only supported it as a barrier against Germany and Russia - it had nothing to do with "shared roots" and everything to do with being pragmatic. He, rightfully, realised that the II RP was far too weak by itself to rely only on Poles.

Most of the people who support "slavic union" live in their parents basements in places like Australia or the USA and know nothing about Poland.

I can see you've never actually been to this part of the world if you think that the culture and traditions are the same. There's very, very little in common between South Slavs and Poles, for instance.

Russian language is more dominate because it's the most spoken Slavic language and many Slavic people have full or some knowledge of it. But you would have elections and all those questions would be answered with free voting but Russian would be great inter Slavic language in my view.

I've come to realise that most people on this site are Americans with a partial polish background so I can't get a real Polish from Poland view because most Americans are brainwashed.

Yes. One of the many reasons why Pan-slavism has never been popular in Poland.

Pretty well true.

Poland has always been a bridge between East and West. In Central Europe geographically, with eastern cuisine and drinks but looking west culturally and politically.

Most Slavs don't know Russian. Stop reading Stormfront with their Slavic unity fetish and start visiting this part of the world.

So - a free vote would almost certainly result in the defeat of Russian as a language. In fact, given that even Czechs and Slovaks couldn't agree, or Croats and Serbs on a common language - what hope would there be for "Slavija"?

I'm deeply sorry for my "intrusion" to your theme concerning Slavic Unity, but to my mind, this idea will never be realized, because there are a great amount of differences between us. As you know, union is the community of the tradition, language, social views, the way of living, "equality and brotherhood" (as Mr. Lenin announced in 1918) in case that one of the item mentioned above is not in use, any Union and unity will be destroyed,by the greedy neighbours.
The vivid example of the Slavonic Unity is the Grunwald Battle 1410 a.D.when Slavonic people were united for to stop the expancy of Catholicism to the east (In my University I studied this theme in the key of "Catholicsm expansion"? and really don't know how this Battle is studied in Poland)
The vivid example of the Unity destroying is the Soviet Union. Really I don't know how western massmedia characterized this phenomena, but to my mind it was tragedy, because people had no any opportunity to visit their relatives in Ukraine or Belorussia or Lithuania, or any other former Soviet republics

The dispartiy between Western-Latinic-Cathoilic Slavdom, to which Poles, Czechs,. Slovak, Croates and Wends belong ,and the Eastern-Cyrillic-Byzantine-Orthodox camp is far too great for any thought of unity.les feel a closer affinity with non-Slavic Hungarians and Italians than with the eastern branch of the Slavic family. Also, Panslavism in tis 19th-century edition is invariably associated with Muscovite hegemony -- not something Poles take too that well.

There will never be Slavic unity when Russia is so much bigger than any other Slavic country... It would lead to Russian domination even If that wasn't intention of Russians themsleves... religion, culture etc. play a role but in my opnion the most important is this issue.

Soviet Union included some Islam and non-Slavonic countries i.e. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Armenia. and so on...

Slavic unity has nothing to do with murdering people. I'm amazed how anti Slavic polaks are... Well polaks outside of Poland anyway. Lucky Poland has limited influence in Slavic Europe and the world.

I am real Polish from Poland and you have my view in one of the postas above and all Polish people from Poland I know have very similar view, why don't you come to Poland and check for yourself or you're scared the truth to be said in your face
