Torq: Or alternatively, if they're proven innocent, there could be a similar article published with their names and photos saying that they were freed of charges. You know that's never going to happen. They have the right to a fair trial. Torq: I just don't like it when law protects criminals more than it protects their victims. They're not criminals yet.

convex: They're not criminals yet. Exactly. In Sweden they'd have covered up half of their faces and called them the "20-year old male", "21-year old male", etc. I prefer that approach.

Many tragic things happen round the world in various countries; they aren't discussed here. This board is for discussion of things Polish, so the fact that the guy who was murdered in strange circumstances was born there is the reason for the thread. No other reason.

Pietrzak was a native of Poland who moved to New York when he was 10. He was a helicopter airframe mechanic who was deployed to Iraq. Is the fact that "John and Miller were assigned to the same unit as Pietrzak" as surprising to anyone else as it is to me? Wait.. about how many men are in a Marine unit? 12? 1200? Google is not spitting out simple aswers.

I don't see how this was a simple robbery. The guy was not rich - just purchased the home from a foreclosure. Then, two of the marines worked for him. And, his wife was black, and sexually abused, as testified by all 4 marines. I hope the process of recruiting and joining the military gets scrutinized. Armed Forces are increasingly used as a big welfare program.

Don't think this has any relevance but purchasing a "foreclosed" home doesn't mean you're poor. Often people purchase them, fix it up and resell it for a nice profit.

However, I think those guys simply didn't like their superior and the fact he married "one if their own" - in other words I think they're black rasists. Of course, it's just my speculation and I hope the truth will come out soon.

However, no matter whether they're found guilty or not by the courts - Marines don't leaves other Marines behind. Neither do they ever forgive Marines who've killed other Marines. Those guys are marked for life...

Likewise, I used to date a really pretty and an inteligent black lady (she ended up becoming a surgeon in the field of oncology). Anyways, her whole family was full of doctors and business men and women and most of her family were very supportive of us but some of her cousins and almost all of their friends and neighbors picked on her for dating a 'cracker'. She told me one day - "I hope we blacks put the rasism behind us one and stop hating white people.". I was blown away by her honesty...
