TVN will pay half a million zł for promoting disrespect for national symbols in your program .

The Supreme Court did not find in the severe penalty of violation of freedom of the press, freedom of speech.

In March 2008, in an episode of " Cuba Provincial " Guests : cartoonist Marek Raczkowski and actor Christopher Stelmaszczyk , encouraged by the lecturer would put thumbnails Polish flag in the dummy dog droppings. Provincial Sam did not.

TVN has been ordered to pay 500,000 zł for showing public disrespect for Poland's colour which are under lergal protection. Kuba Wojewódzki planted a small Polish flag in what appeared to be dog excrement, and many people were offended. Wojewódzki claims it was just a 'happening'.

I recall a case where some of his ethncially correct compatriots in NYC once displayed a crucifix in a jar of urine. They claimed it was a form of artistic expression.

Should disrespectful public displays of this kind be against the law?
What if someone dispalyed a photo of Michnik or Tusk in a pile of dog crap -- would that be OK?

How old is it? 5, 6 years?

Yes, on condition that in the 4th Republic you can also put Kaczyński photo in doggy doo.

Wojewódzki claims

: Kuba Wojewódzk is just like \Szymon Majewski they both have big teams behind the courting public reaction and keeping them in the headlines. Both of these people prove how controlled polish reaction is.

I always thought Szymon Majewski had much better taste than Kuba Wojewódzki who for me is an arrogant ***.

displayed a crucifix in a jar of urine

You mean this? Actually the piece of art was a photo of the crucifix in the jar, not the actual jar.
Art is subjective if you haven't forgotten and should never be censored.

I always liked Szymon Majewski Show, until the last two seasons when it somehow lost its sharpness.
I will never forget the impersonation of that Samoobrona woman (forgot her name). Anyway Szymon as a person is also quite pleasant.

Samoobrona woman (forgot her name).

Renata Beger. She said she liked sex so much she had 'kurwiki w oczach'. I understand she's back on the farm shovelling cow manure.

Merged: Polish internauits outraged by Polish flags in film "Imperium"

Daniel Ragussis' movie "Imperium" tells the story of Nate Foster, a young, idealistic FBI agent, sent to infiltrate and liquidate a radical right-wing terrorist group. The film's trailer includes KuKluxKlan-style burning crosses, portraits of Hitler, swastikas, White Supremacist symbols and..... Poland's white & red flags carried by marchers. Polish net users were shocked by the scenes, apparently taken from Independence Day marches held in Poland on November 11th. It remains to be scene whether the Polish reaction will prompt the film-makers to remove that controversial scene. But one cannot rule out that the negative publicity was deliberately provoked to pique people's curiosity in a bid for box-office success.

You're dead right mate, it's totally a fake representation of reality.
Polish right-wing butters never, ever, ever use the Polish flag.
Never.
Nope.
Never

flag

If you don't want fascists using the flag as a symbol then politicians and other people in power need to grow balls and denounce these lunatics.

You're dead right mate

As usual, you have missed the point. The question was raised whether this may not have been a deliberate attempt to cause a controversy which is always good for box-office receipts. Most film-makers are in it only for the bread!

BTW, aren't the KOD gang, who are doing everything possible to derail the democratcially elected govnerment, abusing the national colours by hiding their selfish aims behind a pseudo-patriotic show of flags?

Ever. If the nationalistic wingnuts with their shaved heads and masks didn't want to film footage of them with flags, they shouldn't have been waving the flags in front of to cameras.

nationalistic wingnuts

The Polish flag is a sacred smybol to most Poles (KODists and LGBT buffs excepted). Incorpotaitng its image in a film showing Hitler and KKK scenes is a flagrant violation of Poles' patriotic sensibilties and in very poor taste. It's not that Polish narodowcy don't want this, but that net users in general were outraged.

It's depicted in lots of films and if fascists wave it in front of cameras during their riots and that is allowed, tough sh1t for them if that footage is used.

Well then maybe they should grow some balls and stand up to the Polish fascists that are using the flag during their marches.

Because the democratically elected government is doing everything possible to destroy the rule of law (fundamental building block of western civilization) and replace it with the rule of party leader (fundamental building block of totalitarianism).

If the party leader weren't busy tryijng to wipe his 4ss with the constitution then the members of KOD would be happy to let him wreck the economy with unsustainable giveaways.

destroy the rule of law

Yes, that is the leftist-liberal narration. In actuality, it is all about retaining the post-roundtable clique and the status quo that allowed them to rule the roost for most of the 26 years. The TK is of little concern to the former SB and commie military brass worried about their fatcat pensions, the ministerial kids, the oligarchs getting rich as foreign-interest-group lackeys, the dynasties of enterainers, lawyers, physicians and academics with roots to the commie regime. They may rant and chant "the TK forever!" but their main concern is a return to their former position of power, influence and privilege as if they deseve to benefit from them indefinitely. The pro-Polish government are about spreading those benefits around more justly and allowing the hitherto dispossessed to share in the fruits of transformation.

Very well said, and I don't see many politicians condemning the nationalists and other assorted fascist scum waving the flags while rioting.

You've undoubtedly noticed that PiS withdrew from the march after it was largely taken over by right-wing nationalists.

I don't see them condemning it either.
