The thread about Polish elections 2011 is slowly coming to its end, having reached nearly 1000 entries.
http://www.polishforums.com/news-politics-4/polish-parliament-election s-october-

Why not start a new one about the post-election political life in Poland?

E.g.,
boletus:
were repeating the some mantra, which they have been doing in the last week or so:

pawian:
We are true patriots of PiS, Kaczyński is out true leader.

The solemn declarations didn`t help 3 renowned PiS members. They were expelled today by the party`s discipline commission.

Opposition party Law and Justice expels critics
04.11.2011 20:38
Zbigniew Ziobro, vice-president of the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) and two other politicians, have been expelled from the party, in what could be a major fracture in the conservatives after losing successive elections.

Ziobro said the decision today was “detrimental to the right wing” and that he would appeal.
“This is a bad day for the Polish Right,” he told journalists.

Wow! So it has happened, as many people had predicted.

pawian:
Comments: Ziobro is already out of PiS, it is only a matter of time.
Kaczyński is playing with Ziobro like a cat with a mouse.
Ziobro counts on Father Rydzyk but he is wrong.
Kaczyński is obsessed with power, he will never give up his leadership of PiS, even if it wins mere 3% in future elections.

Ironside:
Lets better foucus on Poland's beloved leader Tusk, his gov and this plans for Poland for foreseeable future. Whats that would be ?

Yes, what? Tell us about the PO circus! :):):):)

Pawian, just like the last 4 years with PO, there is virtually nothing to comment on. Tusk could talk all day but say nothing, that's just how he is.

What kind of comments are you looking for her? Nothing of note has happened after the election.

This stuff gets funnier and funnier!

PiS are finished if Ziobro really does have the backing of Rydzyk - I'm sure the Government isn't going to be too concerned about them fighting with each other!

OK, so don`t comment on PO. Let`s talk about PiS. :):):):)

PO and others are peeing themselves with glee at this self-destruction of PiS. I liked one comment: The horde is ripping up and gutting itself. :):):):)

Pawian, PiS haven't been in power for the last few years so please tell me what they are, other than a group of people with a bunch of opinions just like you or I. Why are they worthy of discussion?

Because they are runner-up to PO with 30% support and Kaczyński nearly became a president last year? ???

Snp had never been in power. The conservatives had been out of power for over 10 years. Pis are a bunch of god-loving, fear mongering, stuck in the past, babka hat winning old school toff. Once the elderly die out PiS will end.

I suspect they knew all along that this would happen - all a matter of time ;) Just like we predicted, the party is falling to bits within weeks of electoral disaster.

I wonder what kind of offers are being made by PO towards PiS members of parliament now - they need 307 votes to change the constitution, and they have 303 in total. With Ziobro gone, it's bound to be tempting for younger members of the party who want a taste of power.

How to do nothing and appear to be very busy? - thats PO !
PO won election after four years in power and all you lot talks about is the opposition party.
That is achievement unseen in the annals demcoratic countries.
Strange, unusual, weird? - yes !
You lot talking about PIS even now, each of you can be called Quasimodo of Polish democracy.

The Ziobro ouster is a facinating event. What does the forum think he will do? Form yet another party(club)? or take over PiS?

How about the other way round? :
PiS lost elections after 4 years in opposition to the government which, as you say,
Ironside:

Doing nothing in the dead of deep economic crisis? Unforgivable!

Yet, PiS lost again.

My thoughts on the current situation of PiS.

This is probably a mistake. Unlike the PJN people (who the core PiS voters didn't care about) Ziobro has a real grassroots following and enough voters are liable to drop their support for PiS that the party will be gutted. If I didn't know any better (do I know any better?) I would assume Kaczynski wants to retire from politics but wants to make sure no one else can have his party so he's purposely destroying it...

Exactly my thoughts too.

Ziobro isn't just a random no-one, or someone who could jump to PO easily (like Kluzik-Rostkowska) - like the PJN lot. He's more than capable of splitting PiS in half, especially because he has the "anti-Communist" credentials. It wouldn't be difficult for him to attack Kaczynski for having a traitor for a father, which would gain him plenty of support.

There is a Polish - Jewish saying: 1 kilogram of trade is better than 2 kilograms of work. Ziobro prefers to be his own boss in a newly created tiny party than Saviour`s assistant in bigger PiS.
http://www.tvn24.pl/12690,1723269,0,1,sondaz-ziobro-ma-szanse--kaczyns ki-powinien-odejsc,wiadomosc.html

He realises that with Saviour at the helm, PiS has no chance to ever rule again in Poland. And Ziobro certainly would like to relive his fascinating adventure with power and influence that he had in 2005-2007.

The latest poll suggests that he can count on some support.

9% That's got to hurt PiS. I just don't understand why Kaczynski let it happen. I guess he feels it more important to go down with his party than to share power.

He let it happen many times before. A dozen or so main players, with supporters have left or been expelled from PiS since 2007 but the party has held strong.
And let`s never forget the quote:
Kaczyński is obsessed with power, he will never give up his leadership of PiS, even if it wins mere 3% in future elections.

Now, on a serious note.

Do I forbid you to discuss PO`s circus? You are free to write what you want.

What did I fekking propose in my first post here?

Do you know this wise saying?: Live and let live! I see it as: I write about PiS, you write about PO, and we achieve perfect balance and democracy in PF.

Do you understand now that your silly questions are stupid?
