Polish President celebrates Hannukah with Jews

Poland's president lit a Hanukkah candle and distributed gifts to Jewish children on Sunday, continuing a tradition started by his predecessor of marking the Jewish holiday.

I agree with you convex. Its a nice tradition.

Anything that brings people together is all good to me.

I don't know what Eid is but if it brings people together that's all good to me too :)

Eid is when you feast after Ramadan, a bunch of people together just enjoy one another's company. Nice celebration. I'm an atheist...BUT, I really enjoy the good inclusive sides of religions, especially the getting together and enjoying yourself part :)

Although I don't know much about Jewish tradition and what Hannukah contains, I really do appreciate that he did it. Rzeczpospolita is for all her citizens, incuding not only sheeps but goats aswell said one Polish King :) (Pitty I can't remember who)

Does anybody know if the Jewish Rabbi in Poland has to be present when the president is taking over the office? I know there has to be an Iman from the Tatars but haven't heard yet about an Rabbi

I believe the tradition of lighting the menorah for Hannukach in Warsaw was pioneered by the late President Lech Kaczyński. Its good to see his successor is continuing the practice, since most PO types seem allergic to anything associated with or originated by PiS.

Oh I didn't know that about Ramadan that they had this feast afterwards. It sounds nice. Anything that brings people together is all good.

Yup, Lech was the first to do it officially. Good to see that it continues :)

You will have to create and specific tradition as something like that doesn't excist OR nobody knows about it! Spread the message :)

wait. SLAVA do exist among Serbians. Just go google about it

Serbs celebrate Slava as their primary family traditional custom. It is now Christianize but it is from the pre-Christian time and it is dedicated to the ancestors of family/clan. Every Serbian house celebrate Slava

Yet another language that puppet can't understand, LOL

Seriously though, nice tradition! Crow, there are good and bad elements in most cultures. They likely picked up some loose women on their travels. Those Jews fairly get around.

This video is an obvious fake. We know very well that in that time president Peres
was visiting a matsah factory, supervising the process of adding Christian babies'
blood to the flour. You can't fool us, Yehudi.
