I was actually interested in your point of view, until I read the above sentence. Sorry, but these "innocent" whites in Zimbabwe are not so innocent at all.

I say Poland should pay for Poland first but in reply to the above statement:

BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE IS A RACIST MORON LIKE YOU WHO THINKS WHITE PEOPLE ARE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE....

First of all, I didn't mention they were innocent, but now that you have, what makes you think they are not? Since Mugabe took power he has turned the country a full 180 degrees in terms of progress, all while stealing the whites' lands and farms who built the nation up in the first place. Not to mention, most of the people who were brave enough to stay there and who lost most of their possessions weren't even old enough to remember the days of Rhodesia. By the way, Rhodesia wasn't called the bread basket of Africa for no reason.

Who ever said that whites are superior? Racist= a term used by liberals when they know they're losing an argument.

So you say...and the thing is...that doesn't make it so :)

I use it to describe someone who takes issue with another due to race. If you can't understand that I pity you.

People like you also crack me up when you use the word "liberal" as if it is a bad word. Not everyone in the world agrees with you and "conservatism". If that disturbs you then you should find another planet to live on.

I think that Poland should do as Polish people do. Even though Poles don't have much, they will happilly share what they do have with a stranger. Poland is a Catholic country and it is right that it behaves that way. Poland may be in need of some repairs and refinement but it's really not that bad in Poland. If all nations stared thinking about the wellfare of everybody else on the planet just as much as their own, the world would become a much better place for all.

Not all people in Africa are to blame because there are corrupt individuals running their governments. I can understand why you are upset but the atrocities that are happening in Africa need to stop and the people need help. Maybe, this isn't the best way to help solve their problems, but it's the best the world has come up with so far.

i agree with that but we really can't keep sending millions of billions of zloty, pounds and dollars overthere if were funding people who are just going to waste the money and not give it to the people who really need it. It dosen't help that millions of people are trying to live in uninhabitable land. Its almost an impossible mission to help africa

Seems like a good move to me...Angola has a lot of oil, and by starting a trading relationship with that country, Poland has another possible source of energy supply...is there more to this story than the article stated?

Another laughable joke. Pissing away money to africa yet again. Only for their crooked government to take it for themselves. The only part of africa that ever became anything was the european built south africa. Which is now turning like the rest of africa since apartheid. Save your money shut down these useless african charities and start taking care of your own people sleeping in the streets. Discusting how much money is pissed away to the useless while we have people here to take care of.

Nice attitude, szczery. Very constructive. I'm sure black South Africans wake up every morning happy as a clam that Europeans came and "helped" them out.

In fact they should be happy. Because of EUROPEANS south africa has running water and electricity all of those the day to day luxuries are because of europeans. So don't talk nonsense. Europeans also brought education. The rest of Africa is a perfect example of the difference. They could always blow SA back to the past! You have no argument so please be quiet.

re: Polish roads
A scary thing, especially if you're driving at night and there's fog everywhere.

re: donating money
They need it more than the Polish do. Also, if you think about it in terms of national spending, 22 million is not that much (Even some poorer economies can bust out billions).
Brazil is a country that goes through a debt crisis every few years, and they manage to donate money to nations in South America and Africa that are even worse off.

For that matter, has anyone heard of an African philosopher?

Define 'philosopher', because under some definitions I'm sure Nelson Mandela would be considered a 'philosopher' (ie tries to bring together a nation based on his own conceptions of what is considered to be a 'good life', 'freedom' and 'equality'.

here's a wikipedia link to African philosophers.

Poland as a state have absolutely no obligations towards any Africans. How many cash was wasted on Africa? Only Africans themselves can improve situation in Africa.

We don't know that the decision was based on an 'obligation'. It looks more like a free choice made by government officials.

Also, Africans will have a difficult time 'improving their own situation' when the IMF and World Bank imposed structural adjustment programs (SAPs) on them, causing them to pay ridiculous amounts of money in 'debt-servicing fees' on top of their debts (at its worst until the late 1980s). What ended up happening was the nations had to cut off most of their social sectors, namely education and health care and also had to privatize their resources to corporations. Only now do we get former officials such as Joseph Stiglitz (who was a Sr. VP at the World Bank at the time) talking about how these policies did more bad than good. Africa didn't damage itself, it had some help.

article:
The Polish ambassador to Angola considered the political relations between the two countries as good, adding that "there is a lot of work to be done in order to develop the economic ties".

Concerning the health sector, he referred that there has been cooperation in various provinces of the country and pointed out the extending of cooperation to other fields, mainly the technological one, as one of the main challenges of his mission to Angola.

On the other hand, he referred that Poland is interested in the acquisition of Angolan energy resources.

I think its a good start...Angola is loaded with oil; maybe Poland can buy some there...Angola is also a big diamond mining center, however, the Russians and Israelis already have a partnership there, and that market is cornered anyway,
