I heard two sick jokes today about Lech Kaczynski.

This is what educated Poland thinks - they're embarrassed by the outpouring of emotion caused by the death of an embarrassing non-entity.

They're also embarrassed by the agricultural sector, the peasantry, the Church, much of Polish literature ...

When teh intellegentsia loses its heart, the country faces long-term decline. See what happened to the USA ...

Not to worry. This is precisely the NWO agenda.

There are always such jokes after the sudden death of a famous person, a natural disaster etc. Out of interest, what were they?

Along the lines of
"Piłsudski's happy now - he's been dying for a cold Lech"

[Lech is a popular beer, for those who don't know, and Piłsudski is in the Wawel crypt too]

You and people like you should have never been let into Poland, human trash like you interbreeding with our people affects our genepool.

I'm focking tired of foreign ignoramuses speaking as if they know anything or speaking for us Poles, i've seen you issue authoritative opinions time and again in the name of this group or that, take your whiny kid and gtfo to wherever you came from before another bad teacher spanks her.

Can Sokrates see the humour here?

Here is a British guy using the talking points when writing on the question Was Kaczyński A Hero? Get ready to gush. :D

http://uzar.wordpress.com/2010/04/14/was-kaczynski-a-hero

Whatcha all think? Is there a conversation here? Or is it just another bad Polish Joke?

PS This guy has a POLL and almost 50% of respondents agreeing: Kaczyński is a demi god. Or, at least a hero. This British guy's grief at criticising Kaczyński must be striking him damn hard.

I am Polish and have to agree, people mourn him because he is the representative of the people and most certainly not for his achievements when president.

I think they have just as much rights as anybody else to express their opinions, if they live in, and contribute to the country to all intents and purposes they can consider themselves Poles if they want to.

Yea, who the hell are we to speak about what we see an how we feel about living in Poland and interacting with Poles. Foreigners talking about how they interpret Poland, that's not what this place is about at all. You're right, we should talk about the Poland that Poles like yourself want us to talk about. Just PM me some talking points, and I'll get right on it.

Convex first of all this forum is about people who either dont live in Poland or been here on holidays coming and insulting all things Polish.

Then we get Varsovians who suddenly feel like speaking for Poles.

There's maybe one thread daily that discussed actuall life in Poland for or from foreigners pov, the rest is either anti-Polish trolling or just regular trolling.
time means:
I bet the guy is looking down thinking "****, i never knew i was this popular"

He was not, people arent mourning Kaczyński as a person but Kaczyński as a seat of power, for you democratically elected officials are something normal for 60~ years, many of older Poles still remember how shytty it was not having basic liberties, many of the younger ones are smart enough to realise that even without remembering, thats why we're mourning a chair as much as a person in it.
hague1cmaeron:

Yeah so do i but i'd still shoot the f*ckers for ever expressing them since i dont like them at all.

There was one about 'czemu się dziwisz'? Dziwisz was the Bishop involved in yesterday's funeral.

Soc, these c*nts are all the same. While having no clue about our affairs, they spit on the hand that feeds them.

This is what educated Poland thinks - they're embarrassed by the outpouring of emotion caused by the death of an embarrassing non-entity.

I happened to be part of that educated Poland and we, and we are legion, think no such thing. It's just not popular. You, sir, live in a different world, the world of business, protection of old communist ranks that inherited the old system and benefited from the old system...I really have no respect for you nor for your co-workers from Poland A.

A quote from J Pilsudski "wam kury szczac prowadzac nie polityke robic". I know my wife and her family aren't happy because they say Tusk is worse! All the people that disagreed with him where on the plane that crashed, not just one politician, but many important people.

Like who?

The irreplaceable loss government wise was the military leadership.

The cultural loss was much larger.

Count Wrzeszczowicz from "The Deluge" comes to mind.

Not really, they've been replaced often by much more capable men, for example G±gor was a scourge.

Sorry, question from a c*nt here. Is Stachowiak taking over his role? ...and what didn't you like about him?

I met Gen. Potasinski (along with Olbrycht) in Garmisch, I'd say there was a huge loss there.

I've been talking about G±gor here, we could write a book about whats not to like, suffice to say he backed Klichs politics of cutting our military budget left right and centre.

What a complete and utter nonsense. I'm an electronics engineer, I speak four languages
and, believe it or not, I'm the least educated person in my family (the closest family
anyway) and none of us shares the point of view of the people you mentioned.

Varsovian:

Polish agricultural sector is quite all right. If need be, we could feed 120 million people
(having 38 million population, I'd say we're quite safe as far as agriculture is concerned).

Varsovian:
the peasantry

If your friends are from Warsaw then the chances of them having peasant roots
themselves are roughly 90-95% :)

Varsovian:

the Church

LOL

They being ashamed of the Church sounds as ridiculous as me being ashamed
of the synchronic swimming section of UKS Wanda Poznań sports club :)

Varsovian:
much of Polish literature ...

Invite them to this forum. We will gladly discuss Polish literature with them, in "Rozmowy
po polsku"
section, to find out what exactly they are ashamed of :)

Varsovian:

Well, luckily, the people you mentioned are clearly NOT the members of Polish intelligentsia,
so no worries. Being educated does NOT automatically mean being a member of
intelligentsia (especially today when they give out university diplomas to anyone with
the intelligence only slightly higher than that of a bar stool).

you have got to be joking, he was inline for a top NATO job, the guy spoke French, English and Russian. Can you name any other general with such multilingual abilities?

That is because the Poles were changing from a conscript to a professional army, and instead of spending it on useless additional foot soldiers, it can now be directed on better equipment. honestly you should try to think before you wright!

You got that right. I am indeed a simple man, but I have the pleasure and privilege
of knowing many members of Polish intelligentsia (I'm even married to one of them :))
and none of them considered president Kaczyński to be "an embarrassing non-entity".

That's true - comparing most university graduates in Poland nowadays to bar stools
is really disparaging to the bar stools. I ask all the bar stools to forgive me my rude
remark.

Which we shouldnt do for another 10 years since we cannot afford it, yet another proof that PO attempts to destroy our armed forces.
hague1cmaeron:

Well trained conscripts are useless?
hague1cmaeron:
it can now be directed on better equipment.

But its not, every złotówka that can be taken away by PO and its thugs is taken away as a result we're not getting any "useless" foot soldiers and not much modern equipment either.

hague1cmaeron:

Honestly you should start sentences with a capital letter, the fact is that Platforma Obywatelska and its associates have been steadily destroying our military by taking away more then 15% of our total annual military budget and allocating it... where?
