Polson: Ah, people's fantasies... ;) You mean it's not true? But I read it in a book. Here's a little excerpt;
The solar system was filled with Commonwealth battle cruisers - “Armageddon” class, all poised to attack the last bastion of American influence, their moon base named Bush JR. which inevitably had to fall. It received such pounding that the moon itself broke away from earth's orbit and gently floated away into the deepest depths of space. It was never heard of or seen again but it is still remembered by many, for the bravery and dedication exhibited by the last surviving defender of the base, the commanding officer himself, captain Kenning, who despite the tragedy unfolding was last seen still waving his little American flag and singing “America the Beautiful”. I forgot the title of this book and the author. It can be found in a science fiction section of your local library. Just ask your librarian, she will know.
