That is truly shocking. There were many Polish patriots on board the plane
and regardless of our political views we are all deep in mourning today.

Katyn no. 2.

No. An unfortunate accident. But we are not talking about it because of the other passengers. We are talking about it because of two unpleasant, even hated, politicians were on board.

When the hysteria passes it will prove to be a good day for Poland. There's a bit of a festive atmpsphere here - not altogether tactful considering there were others on board - but there can be few politicians in Europe whose passing provokes the same feeling of unsettled relief.

Where I am in Warsaw people are saying they're pleased - can't believe their luck. Apparently both brothers are on board! Shame about the other passengers though.

You leftist freak. I'm sure your den of fags is celebrating. Sick idiots.

RIP first off!! This reminds me of when Ratzenberger died, then Ayrton Senna. I just felt sth bad was going to happen that day after the first death. There is a very strange coincidental aspect about this. If Russians honour this and mourn then it will really bring them closer to Poland.

Jonni, I'm surprised to hear you saying this. It is standard etiquette not to mention the deceased in a bad light shortly after their death. There hasn't been confirmation yet but it doesn't look good :(

And I hoped there would always be one twin to replace the other.
Too many accidents in Russia this year.

Who are saying that Komorowski is now the President. A step forward and the end of the Ducks has closed a dark chapter in Poland's public life.

Maria Kaczynska wasn't a politician and an innocent person - her death is a shame. Though it seems O. Rydzyk's suggestion that she should be killed has come true.

There were good people on that plane. President of Poland was one of them, regardless of if some vote for him or not, I didn't but I will remember him as a good man.

PS. Don't some of you people have some dygnity? Mourning and respect, those are two words for now. If some of you cann't understand that, than better be quiet

Komorowski is a characterless buffoon. What the Kaczyńscy brothers did well was to put forward the Polish interest. Yes, they had faults but they were human and we should always look to the good side of humanity.

Spot on, bad mouthing whoever was on the plane now is just low, these people had their positives and negative but to judge them at this time is just wicked.

When I noticed this thread though I was pretty sure there's gonna be some scum trolling in it, inevitable on PF..

Scum - a perfect word to describe some sad lowlifes and their reaction to the tragedy.

Well - Kaczynski himself said there's no free media in Poland- perhaps as a memorial to him you'd like there to be no free speech too?

How's this for free-speech: you are a MORON.

You must be in a different part of Warsaw- everyone I know there are saddened by this. Loss of life on such a scale should never be a cause for celebration.
