I don't find even 16th century maps very reliable and you place your bet on a map that is 1800 old (where do you think Ptolemy got his data from actually) - those who charted 16th century maps could at least travel the lands they charted

Just that..Poles won't get any minority rights in Germany because they aren't one, period!
Germans in what is now Poland deserve and get full minority rights because they are one.

Actually it is very much on-topic: Poles whine if they don't get free Polish-language schools when they live outside Poland but when it comes to foreigners living in Poland, Poles consider it perfectly acceptable that the foreigners can be told who they may and may not live with.

People eventually get back what they give out, sadly a lot of Poles can not understand that.

I do not see why Poles should get minority rights. They should however be able to speak and learn Polish just like in canada or the us. If Germans are treating Poles properly perhaps we should remove minority status for Germans in Poland.

Germanic settlement reached till to the Vistula. We have the map to show it..what have you?

Even if we assume for a moment that what you spawn here is possible, these late comers, not necessarily Poles yet, but say almost-Poles, they have mixed with local German or better almost-Germans and together had grown into what is know now as Poles.
Those almost-Germans which left are only distant relations.
Meaning Poles are a real natives of said territories.
It is interesting concept, Germanic tribes plus Romans = French, Germanic tribes plus Celt's = Germans and so on :)

As for the thread topic:
I think that Poles should not have granted the rights of minority in German but all the minority rights of Germans in Poland should be revoked. It is only fair! Parents can organize teaching for their children. Simple!

Look, you are trying to stare at me with your own POV, which will never tell you the true story. The fact is that I only commented on making ourselves stronger and more self sufficient to be able to help others, and not ask for basic help from others. Its the culture of the reckless, the remorseless and the ignorant. Its not the culture of the civilized and properly educated (morally and technically/academically) who can come from any color/religion/linguistic background or origin.

It does work, the world is increasingly becoming a global village and the night is darkest before the morning comes. I believe in this and will always believe in it. The innate goodness of mankind is much stronger than the temporary darkness which some people wish to be obsessed with.

There are successful people of all origins in UK and USA and other parts of the developed world. In such a scenario, it is better to look at the good things in life rather than dwell in the stuff which we know should not have been there. It all needs a united effort from every decent individual for an aggregate good life on Earth. For this purpose, we all can begin from our homes and then to the community and thus eventually make our contribution to the society and the world ... all of those are common to all of us - a global family.

I am always in favor of good, educated and decent people ... including immigrants who would prefer to own a country for themselves and serve it better. When I speak in favor, mostly it is the genuine students who are more prone towards integration (but we must allow the integration too by bring friends and creating a positive atmosphere).

The labors or the workers are never my goal. Highly skilled workers are welcome though.

I'm also always critical on thorough medical checkups become letting someone in. Infact I attended a seminar on this issue, and we were all in favor of good people to share lives with us! Not against ... and there were friends from countries like Egypt, India, China, USA and some South American nations attending that seminar.

Its just that thinking in an extreme way is not the only answer ... there are points of balance in between.

The German Media does things against Polish people that if they were done about Blacks or Latinos in the U.S there would be a huge outrage.

Polish people in the entire West have no rights.

It is disgusting. Because it is taught to treat minorities good in many nations they often neglect Poles & thus alot of kids growing up thinking it is acceptable to be prejudice against Poles & Not against other minorities.

What Western Europeans have done has made me sick to my stomach.

We have Turks & Morrocans & Pakistanis talking over Europe, creating Balkanized societies & causing alot more tension.

I don't really understand why Westerners put these Minorities first.
Makes no sense.
But, Nothing Western Europeans do make any sense.

It is not surprising the relations soured. Germans are complete scumbags. No it is not just the Govenrment. When it comes to Russia alot of Russians actually love Poles I have experienced it myself. It is the Government that is the problem.

In Germany today the people themselves are a problem too. Like in the Prussian Trust. Where in the year 2000 Germans came together to create the Prussian Trust to demand reparations from Poland after WW2.

Now, These German Krauts have the ******* balls to demand Reperations from Poland for Prussian families after WW2.

When Poland has not gotten Reperations from what Germans did in WW2 to Poland like the 6 million dead in Poland the up to 10 million enslaved, up to millions raped, 500,000 Blonde Polish babies kidnapped.
With of course Polish cities destroyed & over 50 percent of Polish Treasure, Art, Historical books ect have still not had reperations.

Well, Why don't we Poles tally up every damn time Germans have ****** us & We would have to only demand that Germans give Reperations then they would have to give us their entire nation.

It was pretty much Germany vs Poland in the Partitions.

Hmm,... Beethoven, Kant, Abbe, Hertz, Goethe, Hegel, Leibniz, Gutenberg, Bach, Cranach, Duerer, Kepler, Stoss, Agricola, Benz, Diesel... the world would be a pretty boring place without such insane, evil scumbags. And more than 2 mio Poles are actually quite happy to live in Scumbagland, otherwise they would return to Polska.
