King Stanisław August Poniatowski wanted to stop acting against Russia, some Russian diplomats then considered Poland would be a good partner in "political games" on European arena but unfortunately their point of view didn't played a big role then.
I think many times in the past Poland wanted to become a good Russia's partner, but a good will is many times not everything what will lead to successes for both sides.

Too many competing interests. Poland needs to move on beyond Germany and Russia.

Yeah cause there aren't many other emerging economies in Europe... :S
Poland has the good fortune of a fairly untarnished political and economic reputation.

Poland should seek to try to be a good neighbour and maintain basic cordial relations with Russia.

However, beyond that Poland should try to minimise it's involvement with Russia. Russia seems to be a mafia state and Putin is a dictator who cannot hang on to power indefinitely.

When he loses power I think Russian politics and economics will become chaotic. Organised criminal elements will gain greater power and influence than they already have.

This is a great pity as an open, stable and law-abiding Russia would probably be of great benefit to Poland economically.

Polish and Russian people can be partners to each other but the governments cannot be, actually I can say the all governments of the world cannot be partners to their citizens.

rather went back into old track of domination and intimidation?

Russia thinks and believes that Poland sold its arse to the West, be it the USA or Western Europe.

If they can take advantage of Poland is some measure, they will.

It is simple enough question

The answer is equally simple: never will Russia act with Poland as an equal partner. Not in our lifetime... They need to admit to mistakes first.

Slavic denial will preclude that possibility.

Unfortunately with Russia it is the same story as it has been in Russia for centuries.

That Non Russians in Russia cause most of the havoc.

Today much of the Russian Mafias are Jewish & Alot of the Gang problems in Russia are people like Armenians

In the past much of the problems were non Russians like Volga German, Jewish, Kalmyk Swedish Lenin
&
Georgian Stalin.

It is rather sad. I think if Russia was more like Poland with a less multicultural society that Russia would be alot better off.

Yes, both would benefit greatly from that, but ironically is not Poles with presumed Russian-phobia, but Russians who cannot overcome they imperial complex and the need to control rather than lead.
Those 300 years of domination had gone into their heads. The mutual benefit from fair cooperation is not good enough for them and rather than start with a clean slate they prefer to continue on the old track.
