Long time ago i seek for the key problems of Slavic world. Now, seams to me that i founded my answers. Russian and Polish elite (except few rare positive examples) betrayed common Slavic interests, that`s the key problem. Both of them, for their own reasons. You know, they would tell you, they always know it, they have their reasons.

and Slavs? nobody asked them. Slavs are divided among those elites, among other more or less Slavic elites. Somebody divided them on West, East and Southern Slavs, some Slavic nations were formed and some still appears on horizon. Many `Slavic` elites, many interests and only ONE Slavic ethos. Only ONE, my ancient and divided people.

What others think of this?

What kind of elite are you talking about and is there a specific date? Or an evnt your reffering to? Or are you just blaming that slaviscism wasn't tp notch in many Slavic countries? (Which when ti got invented/known most slavic countries except Russia were occupied)

Yes but there were different elites at different times...
Rich landlords... influencial warriors... knights... aristocracy... middle class... priests? Are you layign a pencil stroke on all of them?

what russian and polish elites? the first lords they were vikings, then germans, then communists (who weren't slavs either, as you very well know), then oligarchs (ditto).

I agree 100%.

Problem with Russia is partly due to 'multi-ethnicity', which minority groups use to cause division.

I think those of us Slavs, that aren't part of the Slavic elites, should stick together :)

I think you're right. The leaders of Germany and England are now talking about how multi-culturalism in those countries have failed. Evidently all these cultures slapped together are only generating friction and tension.

Sadly, diversity many times leads to divisiveness.
