The film is scheduled to 9.20 PM Moscow time (7.20 PM Polish time).

Rossiya has already shown the movie on 2nd April on the culture channel.
It was watched by approximately 7% of Russian viewers. Andrzej Wajda
had said that he didn't think he would live to see this moment.

In a way, the President, a great patriot of Poland, achieved a great success - the whole world learnt about Katyn Massacre.

The film itself isn`t a masterpiece, but at least it allows to find out what Poles consider one of their greatest tragedies of 20 century.

This...and the closer relationship with Russia may well be the good that came out of this terrible tragedy....

I really hope that there will be a new understanding between Russia and Poland , an acceptance of history and a desire on both parts to move forwards and make a better future together...

As a dual citizen of Poland and USA, I wholeheartedly share in this hope.

Absolutely! Many events have had the potential to lead to WWIII but we can take hope from recent cooperation and the scaling back of nukes. Have the Jews and Arabs sent any official condolences? It is them that have the explosive potential to put a spanner in the works. Obama needs to sort them out once and for all.

Wasn't Katyń shown recently? Anyone, a great gesture and I enjoyed that film. It will hopefully sink home and things will be put into a clearer perspective. Peace!

Yes it was. On Cultura, which is like "Rossiya2" (I would say the channel for intellectuals... that's actually why not so many people wathed it). And now they show it on the central channel Rossiya. Both are state-owned though.

Have the Jews

I saw the Prime minister of Israel sending his condolences in TV saying that the Jewish people have a thousand year old relationship with Poland

Hmm....oh well, I don't want to doubt sincerity here. Netanyahu is a hardliner but I guess he has a heart.
