legend:
Britain is only one country. Sorry to spoil your bubble but there is a whole world out there.
What you claim to be as 'many' can mean just about anything. Britain only has a fairly small fraction of Poles.
And im guessing that a large portion of them (not just in Britain) wont return to Poland.

Same difference wherever in the entire EU. Holland, Norway etc none seem to be keen to anchor. It's almost or maybe is part of the stereotype freely offered.
From where I took my first reference it is regarding European nations. If there are economic migrant Poles in darkest Africa or Japan, I am not aware of it neither is it relevant to Europe's situation.

I'm not guessing I am going by commonly held beliefs regarding the nature of Polands emmigration around Europe. I think the stat is 1 in 12 are in high skilled work I really can't think why some one will take the disadvantages inherent in being low skilled in a foreign country when there is opportunities within their homeland. Maybe some will just stay and sit on their arses on benefits/welfare or enjoy bottom of the barrel work.
600,000 went back in the UK downturn (more than half) or to another eu country (Whereever there was work)mostly back to Poland and that was when there wasn't opportunity there like there will be when drilling starts. I'm tallking about Polish people not some 2nd or 3rd generation Canadian born who thinks he's Polish merely cause he can speak Polish, eats pickled cabbage and logs onto PF.
Many means many it doesn't mean just about anything. The opposite of a few then.

It is a serious problem.

There are discussions in Sweden as well now; how to increase the birth rate.

It is quite a big problem in almost all European countries. However, many non-european immigrants tend to have more children.

I give you 50% correct on that one. Because they aren't talking about how to increase the birthrate now do they? ;-)
They skipped that part and went straight to massimmigration.

for the most part, EU countries with low birth rates are going to find themselves completely dependent on EU cash in order to keep their fluffy social programs going and to have anything to offer retired citizens. the population will continue to fall with today's birthrates and they will simply go bankrupt.

the Greece bailout is just the beginning.

Poland could benefit from some quality immigration but let's face it, the line is really short on the Polish border and they have enough gypsies.

Well... If some Poles decided won't return from abroad, no problem. Foreigners will contribute for statistics in Poland. I proudly announce that our baby - mixing Brazilian and Polish blood - is on his way! = )
