Should NATO/EU assist in retrival of decapitated heads of Polish King Władysław III Warneńczyk and Polish national hero Zawisha Czarny that are still in Turkish hands?

Tukey is member of NATO and pledge to become member of EU. So, i stay on position that NATO and EU must support Turkish retreival of decapitated Polish heads. Turkey must clearly deflect from its barbarous past if wants to be considered as civilized country. Collection of human heads??? How awfull!!!

NATO and EU to assist! What other people here think about this....?...

In 1444, during the battle of Varna (Bulgaria), fanatical Turkish assassin Kodza Hazar grabbed the opportunity and cut off the King Wladislaw's head, take it and sent it to his master - the sultan, in Istanbul (Constantinople).

Wladyslaw III of Poland

The Battle of Varna (1444 AD)
http://www.geocities.com/nbulgaria/bulgaria/varna444.htm

Surrounded by thousands fanatic Islamic killers the young Polish king died in the battle. After the death of his King the Polish cavalry was disorganized and in turn smashed by Ottomans.

The fanatic assassin Kodza Hazâr cut off the king's head and sent it to his master - the sultan. The head of young king became a great attraction in the capital of Ottoman empire. Muslim women and children sang songs, danced and praised Allah at the sight of decapitated head of young Polish king.

Also, in one other occation Turks managed to capture famous Polish Knight and diplomat Zawisha The Black. It happened in 1428, near Golubac, in Serbia.

Anyway, Zawisza was captured while still was alive, wounded but alive. Then, Turks strangled him and decapitated his head, took it to the Istanbul (Constantinople). Body was mutilated and cut to many little minces.

Yes but parties to the EU and NATO are in bed with Turkey so I don't see it happening. If the answer is should, then yes.

However, history raises tough questions for international relations under such circumstances.

Hahaha, you are really funny. Why NATO didn't do anything in 1444 what an insensitivity. And Turkey joined it in 1952 so you are a little bit late Crowy.

A serb is not the person you should learn the history of the Turks. This can only be considered as a funny post nothing else.

It became Istanbul in 1453.

Most probably under soil with their body. This is a fiction at least beheading part. We were respectful to our enemies unlike this storyteller.

You can try to read the links. One is broken other will explain the history without fiction part added by Crowie.

Seriously - I thought there were in a museum or something. Which would be gross and asking to be returned would be reasonable.

So Crow is asking for the repatriation of human remains or is the question purely hypothetical ?

Had a look at the link, the one that works is interesting. To be honest, beheading wasnt that uncommon in the 15th century.

serpent!

Polish heads are under the legs of some Turkish sultan. There are the heads of Warneńczyk and Zawisha, to stay humiliated to the eternity. It was/is destine of Serbian Milos Obilic`s head.

Turks are friends of the dark side

Oh, when are you coming through to Gliwice?

i told you- next year at summer. That is if this pandemic flu doesn`t change my plans [to put cross on myself].

This year ending is quite pesimistic. First that flu and then few days ago Serbian Patriarch (head of Church) died in hospital

same questions and if Turks don't even know where it is, then this thread has no meaning :)

Unless they "find" thoose heads and can deliver them to Poland. I wouln't think it would been any problems.

!

1. Turks to return Polish heads

2. NATO to provide escort and transport of Warneńczyk`s head back to Poland. Zawisha`s head to be transported to Serbia, where is Zawisha`s grawe (body)

3. EU to say few nice words about Turks, considering Turkish cooperation regarding Polish heads

IF THIS ISN`T POSSIBLE, Turkey to continue its NATO membership, to become member of EU and Poland to escape from such a `friends`.

To put cross on myself

It was common to send heads as presents to the Sultan. Here it is what happened to an albo.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Pasha

They thought they would send some greek heads too in 1822.What happened at the end of this year was that three pashas were dead due to Greeks.Turkish presence in Peloponnese was diminished as an entity in just one week.Albos played again their role.

And will eventually be arrested, brought to The Hague like Milosevic and Karadic, and in a free and fair trial, justice will be done.
