I understand your point, but this guy knowingly infected god knows how many women and in turn they have infected other people, he was not convicted but the fact still remain that he knowingly engaged in unprotected sex with these girls whilst knowing full well he had HIV / AIDS which tantamounts to murder in my book.

However I suspect that women who sleep with African asylum seekers that they've just met are not exactly paragons of chastity and its probably not unreasonable to deduce from this that he probably wasnt the first or last guy they had a one night stand with. Therefore the true number of infected is greater than if these girls hadnt been shagging around. Same goes for the guys that these girls in turn shagged, and so on.

Men are just as irrisponsible and personally I dont think pregnancy is on the mind of some thirsty dog and what do they care if a women gets pregnant - it's easy to say adios - in the case of these guys who slept with the girls that are infected they can't say adios to AIDS! I believe that both sexes have a responsibility to take care of themselves especially in this day and age.

The word "exotic" gets banded about on the forum, I expect some Polish women have a different take on African asylum seekers than what the majority of British women have.

This is not completely related to this topic but has a connection, a friend of mine who is Slovakian has lived here in the UK for years and her husband is English, her younger brother came over to work here a couple of years ago and said he wouldn't date a British girl because we have all AIDS! I think people from certain countries think that it's not their country's problem and they are almost imune to it.

Morality and the consequences of sex are not unrelated, in fact one is a consequence of the other. Human morality is a set of rules and guidelines that spring from what we are as humans, what we need to function as a society. These rules serve a purpose, maybe an updated purpose in some instances, but still.
Women who sleep around will be judged harsher for this than men as it shows shes playing fast and loose with her body in a way a man cant. A man has sex and thats it. A women has sex and the consequences can be much, much more severe.
Wishing this wasnt the case wont make it so.

A person should be concerned when their actions have consequences for other people. However when that other person is practically a stranger then your concern for them isnt going to be anything like your concern for yourself. You cant rely on a stranger to not get you pregnant.

nope, i dont agree with the pill. and dont agree with women sleeping around, its unsafe, I agree with that, but it equally goes for the men, thats what I am pointing out and that miranda has pointed out, the blame keeps shifting to the women so convieniently..

I think theres a misconception with the pill and condoms,, its for a person to prevent pregnancy, ( one partener) but some dont care of consequences ( apparently) and maybe dont have the resources to get protection.. even though its not a prevention for disease. but education isnt enough.. so what is the solution to a ongoing epidemic?

agree but one of the ancient reason for not wanting women be be pregnant with another men was linked to property law. If a men was married and had to support a child of another men, then he was dividing his property in the future to a child of another men. Also, women who had children with other men became demonized as w......., so they would stop getting pregnant with other men and dilute the property.
Morality was a cover up for property protection:).

Yes. He wasn't convicted of anything in any court, therefore innocent until proven guilty and we will probably never know the truth.

One issue in this whole sorry matter that has been ignored by the media is that he was looking obviously ill for a long time, many people (including me who was a slight acquaintance rather than a friend) knew he had HIV (he was more or less open about this) and that at least some of the Polish women who had sex with him were fully aware that he was HIV positive and that they probably would be infected by unprotected sex.
Strange people indeed.

In fact, you, like the rest of us, are speculating. But where you and I differ is that I don't think these women deserve what they got. However stupid they may have been.

And saving yourself until marriage doesn't necessarily save you from HIV, if your partner already has it.

There are some very disturbed people in this world, no different here in Poland. Simon Mol spent a lot of time with a particular radical (even extreme) organisation, from which most of the women came. Most were students or recent students, all were involved in radical politics, some (and I know a few of those people but tend to avoid them) are very damaged individuals.
