Uri Brodsky arrested in Warsaw for allegedly obtaining forged German passport involved in Hamas strongman hit, AFP reports; Foreign ministry confirms Israeli citizen arrested in Poland.

Polish authorities arrested an alleged Mossad agent suspected of attaining German passports involved in the assassination of Hamas strongman Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai in January, according to Der Spiegel cited by French news agency AFP on Saturday.

"He was arrested in Warsaw and is suspected of being involved in illegally obtaining a [German] passport," AFP cited a spokesman for German federal prosecution to German magazine Der Spiegel.

"It's now up to the Poles to decide if they are going to hand him over to Germany," the spokesman said.

Why would a Mossad agent think he was safe in Poland...??? He would have been safer in some arab countries where they don,t hate Jews so much....crazy guy...!

Ugh, this isn't gonna end well. Either Israel end up pissed or Germany. When are we gonna learn not to ever get involved in conflicts between other countries? Wait! I just figured how to solve this! Release the man from the arrest but instruct him not to leave the territory of Poland before Israel agrees for the extradiction. If he sneaks out it will be HIS fault!

Very good...I would hope other European nations would also take steps, if possible, to clean Mossad cockroaches out...Germany is showing a little independence is requesting this action.

Now, how about some action by Poland and EU members regarding the Israeli piracy, torture and murder in regards to the Gaza relief convoy?...These mad dogs only continue such actions because they are not disciplined by the civilized world.

However, I applaud even baby steps...Perhaps one day Poland will stand up to these psychopaths when they bring their 'security forces' to Oswiecim accompanying students.

Well, it's not like they were arresting an angel. They have to realise that they are a rogue state with nukes and have many dodgy geezers in their midst. The Mossad caught Eichmann in Argentina, now Poland can do what they should with this Mossad guy.

Anyone from Israel should know very well that they are going to get arrested in Poland if they are wanted by any country....
During the war the Poles were very quick to point out any jews in their area to any passing Germans...I talked to a German guy some time back that was part of a panzer regiment...He told me they got tired of explaining to Polish villagers that they were not interested in their reports of jews in the village unless they were about to attack his tanks....no doubt they had to wait untill the death squads came along to get a free house and its contents....

i really can,t understand why anyone Jewish would want to come here...Do they not read this forum first and see how welcome they would be...?

They use defense of their country to justify all manner of intrusive deeds. They killed off that Hamas guy but can you imagine if Hamas killed Shilat? They have kept him alive and he seems to be in good health. Hamas have stopped their rocket attacks but what have they gained? Nothing! Likud are going the other way, increasing the hostility.

Well, hateful statements have no place unless you or your family has been put through hell by others. We should take stock of the fact that the Mossad have a tough job. There are numerous groups against them and they have been shown to be vulnerable (think Hezbollah 2006). Still, international relations cannot suffer. He came to Polish territory as a fugitive so what can he expect?

Interpol has 27 warrants for these mossad agents. He is on this list.

On basis of a European arrest warrant this guy was arested in Warsaw.

The Germans want him for German passport forgery or whatever.

Isreali embassy is protesting, but not clear on what grounds.

If Brodsky's extradition goes through, however, it could put the government in Berlin - a staunch Israeli ally - in a difficult diplomatic position.

If only European police was as effective as Mossad was, there would not be as many scums walking on the earth. Many countries let the Nazi killers live for years without any punishment; i can only imagine how the Jews had to be sick of the Europeans doing nothing.

The issue isn't about his death but the fact that German passports were forged in an attempt to hide Israel's responsibility for this action (which might have resulted in his death being pinned on Germany which in turn might have resulted in worsening of relations between Germany and virtually all Muslim countries). I have a lot of sympathy for Israel but this is NOT how a friend should act.
