I could sit you down and give you long presentations as to how the economy works. The US has punted off most of its debts to China and I guarantee you that I know much more about the Fed than you ever will. Let's talk shop, come on then Crow, you are an economist in Serbia. Enlighten us all, I'm willing to pit your knowledge against mine.

Borrowing is but one factor in the equation. Divestitures are common and for many reasons. They can extricate companies from debts and generate new sources of funds.

Spending invisible money has never been my way. I had a credit card once but they are just traps. Debit cards are the way forward :)

I'm willing to discuss Hyman Minksy and Ponzi financing.

I'm well aware that printing money would only lead to inflation and that ostensible increases in the standard of living wouldn't be actual as prices would double proportionately.

The main problem is when government bonds compete with corporate bonds for investor capital. Interest rates can soar as they did. Home owners then bear the brunt. I was being facetious and cynical before.

So, Crow, show me your lovely wisdom from your studies and job!

Crow: USA will leave us..?.. and, about time. A lot of damage to authentic Slavic interests was already done in the region... I agree.. it's a disaster. NATO's role is not to invade other countries.

Let's get back on topic. This is about Obama and I feel that he was right to take the missile shield deal off the table. It had been signed but he is not bound by his predecessors and was looking to establish cordial ties with Russia. Part of that objective involves getting rid of the objects of antagonism.

Scrappy, that was below the belt. Poland didn't ask for that. Academic argument is easy with 20/20 hindsight. In retrospect, they should have taken Nazi Germany out in 1933 but they didn't.

So, please apologise as I have Polish family and am offended by the drivel you just posted.

Once again, stop the flaming and get back on topic.

How come, he is not bound by it? I was not fan of this shield thingy myslelf, but the notion of international agreements being nullified after a change of goverment is rather disturbing.
